DS found errors in two signs at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing today... oops. Hope they have someone else spell checking the money printing. Just wanted to say that I hope you and DS are enjoying your visit. I think everyone should visit DC at least once in their lifetime!!!One of my mother's first real jobs was in Washington, D.C. (I think it may have been at the State Department.) She said many years later that her biggest regret was never having taken us kids there at some point.

That was why she wanted to take us there.

After my two work trips to Washington DC, I agree that everyone should see the historical sites of DC. I enjoyed every site I saw and was very moved by Arlington Cemetery, JFK's grave and Viet Nam Memorial. WWII Memorial was not there when I visited.

I want to go back if for no other reason than see Vietnam and WWII memorials since neither were there when we were.

This is the 3rd time I've seen the Vietnam Vetetan's memorial and it makes me cry each time. Although I've read the history and "knew" the numbers, I don't think I really understood HOW many of our people died. So many names...

My father was KIA in WWII so I want to see that memorial since I'll probably not make it overseas to see his grave there. But a very sweet poster here went and sent me pictures!

My girlfriends older brother is on the Vietnam wall 😢 I remember him taking us out into a field and letting us drive his red Datsun and teaching us to shift gears.

apologies if I missed either of you say so, but have either of you seen the moving wall? it's actually going to be on Cape Cod this month, I'm planning to make a visit. I've seen it once before, and when the opportunity arises to pay my respects, I intend to do so.

I haven't seen it. I want to but I never know it's up here until after the fact. Now I need to look and see if it'll be on the North Shore. No Cape for me.
