Hmmm, is it caused by the executive branch? Given his love of real estate this isn't out of the question:

He would declare that it never happened. The media made it up to make him look bad. And if it did happen it was Obama's fault. Then he would fire someone and tweet about Ivanka's underpants.

It would have to be in 140 characters or less. So something along the lines of of "oops, Hillary, emails. WH most presidential ever. Repubs doing fantastic job. Best ever!"

Natural or Man Made: What would the response from the Executive Branch look like? This from the man who can't answer an open-ended hypothetical to save his life? How far away is the parking lot from the disaster?

Virgil, you sound like you don't even enjoy it here anymore. Every post seems angry and bitter.

Virgil, you sound like you don't even enjoy it here anymore. Every post seems angry and bitter. Some bitterness in this one, mainly because I've had the OP mock my hypotheticals on at least two occasions and waste several hours of my time stringing me along under false pretenses in a third. The only other threads I've posted in are the Pres. Trump tweet thread and the thread about my new plugin. Both of those were routine discussion. I'm sick of reading about Pres. Trump constantly, but I accept that he's the only thing newsworthy the US news media talks about. It just means I can't participate in too many of the discussions.

There seems to be a lot of magical thinking that Govt is the answer to everything in life. That govt can just blink and make everything better.

There seems to be a lot of magical thinking that Govt is the answer to everything in life. That govt can just blink and make everything better. If a tornado wipes out infrastructure, I would hope the government would feel some responsibility to rebuild - or at least maybe remove the debris of, say, a collapsed bridge. I don't expect them to blink and make everything better, but we have determined that our various governments is responsible to maintain some of our jointly owned assets. And if they are damaged by storms, terrorism or wear and tear, there needs to be a reaponse.

if I'm paying tolls to cross that bridge, the govt better damn well fix it if it breaks. Or else, why are we paying the toll?

I suspect if a disaster strikes, a general shrugging of shoulders and a "too bad for you" will be what comes out of the White House... unless the disaster area involves something of value to the people (Trump and his "not a swamp" swamp dwellers) in the White House - and then there will be a feeding frenzy of aide and money and who knows what else sent immediately. I bet a bunch of legislation that benefits his cronies/friends/family will also be passed so they get the benefits they deserve for years to come.
(FWIW: I witnessed this once at the local government level... a local disaster occurred and all those connected to the local politicians made out like bandits... on the plus side - some of the things that were done DID help the community but there were a lot of hands in the $$ jar which continued well after it was all said and done).

Natural or Man Made: What would the response from the Executive Branch look like? The Trump haters should be all over this with negative commentary. Those who are not Trump haters would expect the administration to do what is usually expected, depending on the disaster type.

How about those of us who have made an objective assessment of the competence of the current Administrative and found it lacking?

Those of you would be judged by others who have made a negative assessment of that objectivity.

but driving on them daily (and withstanding damage from wind, rain, dirt, and bird crap) causes wear and tear, so they need to be maintained....

Natural or Man Made: What would the response from the Executive Branch look like? "This is the biggest and best disaster that has ever taken place. YUGE disaster! The best people created it. Very smart people. The only thing better than this disaster is the beautiful chocolate cake at Mar-a-logo!"
