It's not only full minimum wage but it's a very high minimum wage. More than the federal one. Way more.

It's not only full minimum wage but it's a very high minimum wage. More than the federal one. Way more. It is getting ready to go even higher. They are planning on a $14.75 minimum wage in Portland area by 2022. The rest of the valley area will be $13.50 by then and the rural areas will be $12.50. I think by then it probably won't matter, no one will be able to afford the prices at the restaurants anyway.

I routinely tip 20% and I leave a minimum tip of $5 (for service for two people) for cheap meals like breakfast, unless the service is bad. Depending on how bad it is, the tip can shrink pretty rapidly.
Our grocery prices have inflated like crazy in the grocery store. Sometimes our in-laws pick up produce for us in West Virginia when they are passing by a farm store on their way to visit. The same produce costs about half as much.

We always tip 20% on the bill, not even a question. We go out at least once a week. Thursdays our run club meets at a brewery, so two beers each and a small dinner (sandwiches). On weekends we'll go out to dinner and sometimes brunch or lunch at least once.
