He is certainly capable of saying something true on occasion. Unfortunately, it is usually an accident when he does.

He was telling the truth when he bragged about assaulting women. And when he bragged that not paying taxes made him "look smart"

There's a part of me that thinks he doesn't get twitter and can go back and delete shit and be like I never saw it. It fits cuz he posts so much on his personal one. But then again that would require more willful ignorance than a dog has. Geeees, I think you insulted my dog!

Pres. Trump claimed this morning that he bluffed to ensure Mr. Comey would stick to the truth during his deposition. It does seem consistent with the way he thinks and operates. (Of course, tweeting crap he can't take back is also consistent with the way he thinks and operates.) Who knows. But what I think is irrelevant. The explanation is plausible enough to convince his supporters it was a brilliant ploy, far too convenient to convince his detractors he's not a lying son of a snow leopard, and the world will hum along with both sides even more convinced they're right.

I honestly think the guy does it on purpose. I really do. I think he plans out the next thing he is going to say or tweet about and does it intentionally, knowing blown minds will follow immediately. What does that accomplish? It keeps the Democrats from organizing anything or anybody that has a chance in hell of beating him in 2018. They are too busy throwing hissy fits over basically nothing to do anything productive. All it would take is one decent candidate to beat him, but nobody is concentrating on finding someone to put forth. Now it's all HE LIIIIIIIIIIED when it's clear he didn't commit to anything one way or the other.
A little focus may be in order. ROTFLMAO! That's one of the funniest things I've ever heard! Trump plans what he says? He blurts out whatever nonsense crosses his mind at any given moment, or what he just saw on FOX news. The man has no filter, but he does have flight of ideas.

I don't find you to be an authority on what he plans and does not plan or what he thinks or doesn't think. You may have an opinion, like most others, but that's all it is - an opinion.
I think it's well planned. And it works.

I have to agree with GEL on this one. I think Trump is a lot smarter than the politicos give him credit for.
He is a total jerk, jacka$$, or what ever else you want to call him and I completely agree ............ but he is a smart jerk.
I voted for him to keep hillary away from the Supreme Court ..... and for that I have no regrets.

I believe that President Trump has learned well a set of behaviors that have in the past gained him results he desired. I think he pulls them out in situations which he sees as similar to past situations he has been in. Are they an adequate set of behaviors for the new job he has? If not, will he be able to learn and use different ones? I am not sure.

I would agree it's a tricky term and all in the way you see it. To me, "smart" is the opposite of "stupid". You don't get to where he is by being stupid. However, really smart people (again...as I see it) also have a large amount of common sense. I can't decide if he has zero common sense or he just doesn't care. All I'm pretty sure of is that he's not stupid.
It's easy to think someone stupid because they don't agree with our views or do what we want them to do in the way we want them to do it. However, it's rarely true.

How about we say he's an accomplished manipulator?
