I think it's time for me to go to sleep. I took this literally when I first read it. Glad to no w that I was wrong, as that would be very uncomfortable.

A new Vera Bradley purse. Actually DH did, for a belated mother's day gift, I think. Did I mention I have plenty of purses? But an extra 30% off sale prices today only--plus free shipping. Too bad the current patterns--even the sale patterns--kinda suck. I got the one out of the bunch that I like best, but hope it won't clash too much with my wardrobe.

Bottles of ink. They're pretty and sparkle and sheens like crazy. I'm not a sparkle kind of girl in regards to clothing or accessories, but I'm a sucker for a beautiful ink.

I understand your fascination with ink. The pens are quite beautiful pieces of work too. Alas, I am a lefty and I would be wearing the ink so that would definitely be wasted money for me. I am physically incapable of doing the hand contortions so that my hand doesn't run over the ink. That, and it just looks stupid. I'm a lefty, not a circus freak.

I don't buy Vera Bradley purses, but I do like their travel toiletry cases. I went to replace mine a few years ago, and the patterns sucked, so made do. I'm still making do with my old one because the patterns still suck.

Bought some Koss earphones that were discounted to $15 and $21 each from the Today Show Jill's Steals and Deals. They had some other things on the show, but I didn't like any of them. I think I've spent almost $300 this week, but I won't be spending any more until September, so it's all good. Plus I got a bunch of presents to tuck away.

That is, if an older pattern is acceptable to you. 😋. My step-SIL, who is loaded, mentioned that you have to have a newer pattern, because I guess that's a thing. I'm like, but I like the old ones a lot better. I still get random compliments on my 2011 pattern purse.

Money has been super super super tight here. I've been reading this thread thinking I haven't wasted money on ANYTHING in months (boxed wine doesn't count ). We went to see our brand new grandson in London last weekend but that was definitely a NEED lol. We drove there and stayed with DH's aunt, so we only paid the bare minimum (gas, tolls, ferry, and we took DH's aunt out for a nice dinner.) Today I unexpectedly had lunch at school with two friends/colleagues. I bought a tuna sandwich (the cheapest sandwich they have) and a yogurt. So, $6.

Hmmm....today? Two $25 gift cards for Amazon (they were offering a $15 credit if I did), a new battery for my phone and a portable charger. I really think I'm just going to be out of control until I get home from my trip.

I apparently wasted $$$ (eleven of them) on a would-be birthday present for one of my many grandchildren.
My DIL sent me a link to a Fisher-Price sale, suggesting it for the three birthdays coming up (2 and two 4s). There was something called a Snap'n Style wardrobe. Silly me didn't read the fine print and didn't know it was for a wardrobe to store the pieces in (doll & accessories not included). Worse, these dolls are collector's items new and still pricey used on Ebay.
I posted it for $5 on the trading sites. If no one wants it, I will give it to the thrift store. I thought about storing Barbie's clothes in there (I have a few Barbies at my house for play time), but she's too tall to use the lighted mirror.
It's not worth sending back.

A Keurig. I don't use them and never had any interest in them because I drink way too much coffee for one measly cup at a time. But my friend texted me at 5am to tell me there was a mistake on the Keurig website and to quickly call and order one. So I did - $204 bundle with the machine, coffee, and a travel mug for $19.99. I'll keep the travel mug but have no idea what I'm going to do with the rest.

When new people come to our church, we have a place set aside for the pastor to sit with them to tell them about our community and have a cup of coffee or tea with them.

Shrimp. TD informed me this morning as he was walking out the door that we were invited to a party tonight and we needed to bring something. And BTW, can I pick up Costco beer too? So bright and early, I'm at Costco buying beer and shrimp. 4 lbs of shrimp, to make grilled shrimp cocktail. I rush home, get the shrimp cleaned and marinating, make the cocktail sauce and get a text that the party isn't until Sat. I now have 4 lbs of grilled shrimp, way more than we can eat! Shrimp tacos, shrimp enchiladas, shrimp omelets, shrimp stir fry, shrimp in lobster sauce, shrimp salad . . . .

Baking camp is over. Here's his final cake from Cake Wars - what he needed the candy for. It's a "motherboard" (a printed circuit board with components on it):

The leftover shrimp is getting made into shrimp salsa. I guess there is about 2 lbs left. I need to pick up the rest of the ingredients today while I am wasting time waiting for me car. There is a grocery store next door, and an expensive shoe store on the other side that I might have to waste money at today!

He thinks he won. He brought home a certificate that said "Most Creative". I suspect if the bakery is smart there were multiple "winners"...

I bought 2 hair clips today. I never wear my hair up. I just don't look good with my hair up. But, my workplace is 150 years old and has absolutely no air-conditioning. And the weather today was 95 degrees with 86% humidity. So, I bought 2 hair clips and a couple of women in my department helped me put my hair up for the day. Just today. Never again.

I saw a little boy pic in here... Is that Milee Jr? He is a cutie!
Today was supposed to be a cheap day with DS - playing at the splash park, lunch, and then more park fun. Instead it rained, so we had lunch ($16 at Wawa... I know we could have spend $6-7 at Wendy's but I really don't like feeding him that stuff). Then we went to the State Museum ($10 donation). So $26 for the day... Some "cheap day out". And it's supposed to rain tomorrow too. Joy.

No, I forgot $6 for the potting soil so we could move my plant (his mother's day gift to me) to a bigger container.

They had some sort of last day ceremony - that's where he got the "Most Creative". Not sure what that format was or if they even picked an overall winner.

Won't spend money today, but I have plans for tomorrow. I'm doing beach yoga with my daughter, so gas, tolls, class fee, later beach fee, iced coffees. To me it is not a waste at all though. I do bring a cooler with lunch, waters, etc.

Nothing yet, but I'm super tempted to get a new Tivo. There is a sale good until tomorrow on the version for the antenna. $299 and includes lifetime free service. Thing is, I don't really NEED one. I have one. This one just holds twice as much, records 4 shows at once has some other perks like commercial skipping...AND...no monthly fee. I've been paying $10/month on mine for 5 years now.

We browsed at an antique store today. Found an awesome coffee table made from part of an old barn door. The old hinges are still on it.

yesterday, bananas... because apparently you can't leave them in a hot car for 5 hours or the skin will burn. The insides seem okay so I guess I won't throw them out. Today, hopefully nothing. I need to start pinching pennies. DH discovered that Extra brand gum actually liquifies when left in a hot car!
