Anyone have information on sheets that are cooling for hot weather?
Has anyone tried them?
Malour brushed microfiber EvenTemp Outlast Temperature regulating Hot/Cold Sleepers - expensive Temperature regulating from Sharper Image - expensive
GHousekeeping says Iso-Cool is good.
Or cooling mattress pads?

I'm afraid I haven't tried any of the "cooler" sheets. Personally, I like cotton sheets in the Summer. JMHO.

I do not like the feel of micro fiber sheets, but my preference is a cotton sheet. Our master bedroom is also the coldest room in the house. Since the AC is kept at a constant temperature, we use a light blanket or comforter at night during the summer.

Flannel? ( ) My Sleep Number bed is divided so I don't have to sleep on the rock hard surface my wife desires. Each side had its own sheets. My bedroom is heated in the winter and cooled in the summer. This means I can enjoy the feel of flannel sheets year around while my wife sleeps on whatever slick or scratchy thing she wishes. Life is good.

Have you thought of bamboo sheets? Sleeping on bamboo sheets allows the air to circulate freely, hence why they tend to have more of a cooling effect on your body, which is what we especially need from our bedding when the weather is warm. As all of us perspire in summer during our sleep, bamboo bedding is more absorbent than cotton and is one of the most ideal bed linen fabrics to sleep on during a warm night for this reason. Moreover, bamboo sheets are not only soft and pleasant to sleep on, they have anti-fungal and antimicrobial properties, unlike some other bedding materials. mybedmybath.com/cool-bed-sheets/

QVC had a Todays Special Value a few days ago for 2000 thread count sheets.....also supposed to keep you cooler during the summer. Their price was really good and even now likely under $100 for a queen set, probably not much more for a king.

If it's too warm I turn down the A/C.
Maybe one of those mats they make to keep pets cool would help, if you can use it in a pillow case or something? (I bought one, but have never taken it out of the box, so I don't know if it would work.)

Thank you for all the ideas. I do have sateen sheets in storage. Our weather went for 30s overnight to 90 degrees F on Sunday. I was very uncomfortable. More heat is on it's way!
I will look around as I shop and keep the cool dog mat in mind. I ordered as small table top battery operated water cooler suitable for a tent or small cabin. The heat gathers in the upstairs bedroom both summer and winter. In winter, I love the extra warmth. We do have air conditioning. If it's too low, the main floor and basement are too cold.
I hope this thread helps others.

I will post whatever info I come up with on this thread. Your " small table top battery operated water cooler suitable for a tent or small cabin." sounds cool. Was it expensive? Will you please post if you like it or not, when you get it? Already this year, I have been SO hot! It's embarrassing and I don't always want my whole place to be that much cooler. -Thanks!

I bought those for DD quite a while ago, but we only just put them on her bed Easter Weekend. She is a college student, and hopefully we be home for a week or two next week. She does have an apartment and is doing the summer session.
I bought them at Kohls and used Kohl's cash for them. IDK how much I paid but with the Kohl's cash it was not too much.

The portable cooler came. It requires 3 C batteries and will run 10 hours. Batteries could be an issue. I haven't tried it. You can find it on Lakeside Collections.com. I think it's called table top cooler to shorten your search. It was about $15 with added shipping. Our weather turned chilly going down to 30s in some places. Chilly during the day also. The snow stayed south of us in CO & WY. ETA: correction Kool-Down Fan $18.98. 2002272 article number.

I'm in New England, in a Cape built in 1960. I've added insulation upstairs, but it's still not ideal. so in order for upstairs to be tolerable in the summer, there are window A/C units to supplement the central A/C that got added somewhere along the way. in the winter, I actually use lighter weight coverings than I do in the summer, as my bedroom is on the 1st floor. my cooler option is a BHG sheet set from Walmart, of all places. it's a wrinkle-free <250ish?> thread ct that is the absolute opposite of wrinkle-free, but I think whatever chemicals they coat the strands with before weaving, it's actually got a cooling factor. the jersey sheets I use for warmth are a lighter weight, but warmer. go figure. anyway, I'll check the label and edit this post, if you're interested.

When did you move into my house? Seriously, your upstairs sounds JUST like mine, which is why the cats love it. The hotter, the better. Freaks. Downstairs is a freezing hole but DH can't handle the heat so he uses a blanket all year round. I use a bedsheet unless it's too cold, then I throw on pants and a throw blanket a friend gave us 14 years ago.

I looked for bamboo sheets in Bed Bath and Beyond. Didn't have them. Look on-line. Some times BB&B sells certain stock items only on-line, but if a manager orders the item on-line from the store, there is no shipping charge to deliver to your house.

Bed Bath and Beyond will order from their website for you, if the item is in stock. You go to the store and go to the section you want and the service person will order it for you, then you pay at the cash. You can get the item delivered to you or it will be delivered to the store where you bought the item.
That's how I got my duvet cover for my down comforter, from Bed, Bath & Beyond.

Yes but I want to feel them first. I'm really happy with what I got and the quality is so much better than what I had before. It was also cheaper for me cause I shopped wisely for sales and I had 20% off coupons. Good Luck with your search.
