He wrote a lot of songs for 1 Direction.
DD went to see him in concert first time about 5 years ago.

I listened to the first 16 bars or so of the song in the link.
There's 30 seconds of my life I'll never get back.

I'm headed outside to look for a really big rock for some us to live under. BYOB and snacks. maybe it can be a tent instead of a rock? More comfy.. Oooohhhhh, like one of those bedouin tents from the movies, with pillows and food and all kinds of good stuff. And since it is all women crawling under/into this rocky tent, loads of really handsome guys in the appropriate costumes to serve us. And music, and, and, and, oooohhhhh this is so cool

I have teenagers, and I had no clue who he was. I have heard the first song, but I didn't know who it was by. Looks Like I will be joining people under the rock.

I snuck a dozen or so bottles of really good red wine into our bedouin rock . Also have some good cheeses (something this Dutch girl can't live without)

How can you not know the BEST song ever??
The A Team ......,(and surprisingly it has nothing to do with Mr. T and is very applicable to the drug thread on here :-) BEST song ever? Do you mean maybe Southern Cross? Or maybe Desperado? Or maybe Hallelujah (either the version performed Leonard Cohen himself or the one performed by K.D. Lang--can't decide which I like best). It is perfectly possible never to have heard what someone else considers the BEST song ever simply by preferring a different genre and avoiding music that brings no joy. We each get to choose what seems best to us (but some people are just wrong). Desperado by 2 Live Crew?

Ladies, we have graduated from rock, tent to a castle. Of course no one is forced to join us at the castle but see prior post of what to bring if you show up.

Her voice was at its peak then, and it's just a joy to hear her sing. Of course, the Eagles original is always a favorite, but I think Ms. Ronstadt's voice was particularly suited to the range and cadence of Desperado, so I have always liked that one better.

He's a pop singer. Here's one of his more known songs: I don't listen to much pop music, but I do like Taylor Swift radio on iHeart Radio so I tend to hear his stuff there. Thank you for posting. I like this song, but am not happy with the video. In specific, I am not happy with the clothing of the woman which seems against the song sentiments. She's practically naked with the see through fabric emphasizing her looks, whereas he is dressed like a somewhat dressed up guy. I could improve that video 1000% in my opinion, simply by coming up with a wardrobe for her that matches the male in the video put still showcases her legs a bit.
Good song. Sexist video because of female attire. If you want to stay with the woman no matter what her legs look like in the future, than perhaps classing it up would have been the way to go.

Believe it or don't, I saw my first non dairy exciting "cheeses". Kate Hill or something like that has made some almond cheezes that mimic brie and other aged cheeses.
I of course saw this when I went through Whole Foods today.

Fancy hats always add a certain je ne sais quoi to any occasion. Mine will be purple velvet with a swoopy brim and possibly feathers.

Everyone has to bring their own snacks and liquid refreshments.

You are no fun at all.
I sampled at Whole Foods on my way home today after an appt. The Harissa made by Cava is exceptional and the Roasted Red Pepper Hummus is amazingly good too. Out of my price range at the moment, but the product demonstration person said they go on sale for Thanksgiving and the Super bowl.
November is only 8 months away I guess... cava.com/products

Forgot how old & unhip u dudes r I'm hip. You probably are just too young or uninterested in music before your time to have the music knowledge some of us have.
You can always choose to fix that.

This is nothing new, when Sam Walton was announced as the wealthiest man in America in 1982, he was inundated with letters from people asking him to buy things for them, including houses.

I am a cook. Well, that guarantees you entrance into the castle. I have a Costco membership, so I'm good for snacks and giant chunks of fancy cheeses and whatnot, but alas not wine. I live in Maryland. Our Costcos can't sell wine .
May I join you?
