I want all the puppies! If I had the room I'd have them all.

If you have a dog in dog day care, have them do something like this. If you have a dog or dogs at home, do something like this.

My dog is smart. She figured out how to get out behind the garage by digging herself a trench under the fence. We fixed that and now she's figured out how to get out into the front yard. I caught her right as she did it, she had a look on her face like 'Oh crap!" and came to meet me at the gate.
::sigh:: We'll have to supervise her outside till we can get replacement fencing for those areas.

I bought a 20 ft tie out for Jackson since he's an escape artist. You can get longer ones. Maybe that would help.

I was thinking about it. We did it with Sabah till we broke the habit. I'm not sure though how Charlotte would handle it.
She doesn't escape if we're out with her so for now we'll watch her. I told her she loses her weekend morning basking in the sun alone time for being stupid. Now I'm going to stare at her.

Holy shit! What is this thing? Where are its legs? Why do people insist on tampering with nature?

Holy shit! What is this thing? Where are its legs? Why do people insist on tampering with nature? It’s a hairless kitten, cute little bugger. Perfect for those of us with allergies, there’s someone in our town that raises them. Very expensive breed.

Yes, they're cute, but it's not a typical Sphynx cat, but a Munchkin, bred specifically to have very short legs. They tend to have spinal issues. Cats are meant to leap and jump. I think it's a travesty, much like breeding dogs with such short noses that they have difficulty breathing.

Today is I believe National Dog Day! I was going to ask about everyone's favorite kind of dog.....but after thinking on it, how can you really pick a favorite? Once each is part of your family, how do you choose? OK, one on one at one moment in time, the dog who is with you can be your favorite. But that changes. Some of us have had more than one dog at the same time. Or, we find ourselves over time having had several dogs...and maybe several kinds. Like people, each has his/her own personality. A favorite? Tough! What do you think?

Next weekend we're dog sitting. Thing 2 is going out of town. So I will have both granddogs under one roof in addition to the twins. Astro just turned a year old. I hope I can keep up. He's a ball of energy!

I'm pet sitting for the next 2 weekends. Word of mouth is keeping me busy. I'm in SE PA. It's the end of summer so the shores are calling the pet parents.

I was stupid and lost my phone on Monday. First time in a while that the phone has not been lost to Junebug. And while it's a pain, this means I need to replace my phone case. And it turns out you can get custom printed phone cases. This is what I ordered. Hoping it turns out.

Jackson is 10 times his size and would let him climb him like a tree and be just fine. Macy is a bitch to all dogs she doesn't know. sounds like LD and the golden. my sister has a ~10lb mix that looks like a chihuahua but isnt. LD loves her, once he remembers who she is. the golden wants nothing to do with her.

Years ago, we used to dogsit for my friend Michael. He had a little 5lb Cairn Terrier named Molly. We had the Aussie and the Lab/Pit, who were 65lbs & 75lbs respectively. Molly ruled the roost. She entered our house, and she let those boys know she was boss, and they agreed. It was too funny.
Here's a picture of the last Christmas we watched her. We had actually already lost Moree (the Aussie). We'd had Junebug only for about a month, so she's about 7 months old in this picture. It took her a little longer to learn Molly was boss, but she learned.

Poor Astro is going to have to learn to just submit to Macy when he comes over next weekend. He's so young and just so full of energy! Macy snatched him up once, but he was so young he probably doesn't remember. I'm taking those days off to watch over him. I have a bunch of vacation time to burn anyway.

In case anyone was wondering, Macy has also stopped snapping at Bear. I guess she's finally learned a bit. She still won't let him eat when she's around, but she's getting better. Bear eats separately from the twins. She even tries to play with him some, but I think Bear doesn't really trust her just yet.

among the excellent developments in having my leech of a roommate declare that I am too much of a bitch for him to be here while I'm here (sorry, I just strained an eye muscle rolling them... 🙄) that I can actually play ball with my girl in the bay window without having to listen to bitching that he's trying to sleep. *apologies as I decompress all over these boards as I unwind myself from this mess.

She's so cute! Thing 1 is obsessed with goldens these days. She'd volunteer to dogsit any day.

Again with the freaking mushrooms! This is the third set. Does anyone know of anything that I can put down that will kill them but is safe for the dogs?
