I bought some chorizo last night so DH can make his yummy chorizo and egg burritos. cost approx $5 for 4 burritos. Tomorrow night we'll have leftover kielbasa and sauerkraut. Still not sure about this weekend. Prob leftover T-day stuff. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

tonight I brought in the rest of the chicken scampi I made on Sunday night. there's a ton, and I'll end up pitching some of it, but that's fine.
chicken tenders - $5 for the package, what I have is less than 1/4 of the package tomatoes - $1 pasta - $.50 worth was cooked, so $.25? garlic, shallot, lemon, chicken broth - ....??

DD just heated spaghetti, she is hungry when gone all day, so that is dinner for her.
I ate a bowl of crab salad DIL made, she really makes a good one, I ate it all.
So just something for her, grandson, and hubs. Likely sliced ham, cauliflower, carrots, and maybe fried potatoes or maybe mac and cheese, they all like it.

True, reheated shrimp is meh, but boy, was it tasty overall! There's more left for tonight which should pair well with the leftover kielbasa and sauerkraut.

We usually only eat one "big" meal a day. It's usually lunch if I am not working. Today we went to the sushi place for DH. I don't eat sushi, but I do eat edame, ginger salad, and fried rice. Supper will be another ham or turkey sandwich.

had a wake earlier tonight, a guy my roommate's played music with for a long fucking time. I didn't know him all that well, but am friends with his wife. a bunch of us went out to dinner afterward, an Irish pub. I threw in $70 for roommate and myself, wasn't even going to bother trying to figure it out. he's been out of it since the news hit, not handling it the best.
dinner was a green salad w/fried chicken and balsamic vinaigrette for me, a loaded burger with cajun fries for him, we split black and tan onion rings. and drinks.....

We polished off all the Thanksgiving stuff except the rest of the turkey and I may make turkey salad from it.
So today, I don't know, have ham so may make something with it.

Yesterday for brunch we had potato (mom) cakes and ham (sis) and cheese omelets using T-Day leftovers. Cost approx $1 for farm fresh eggs and .50 for the cheese.
There's pork ribs (from the Manager's Special bin) in the Crock Pot with a side veggie for tonight. I added chicken broth and BBQ sauce hopefully keeping them from drying out. Approx $5.56 for 2 servings.
Tomorrow night will be Mongolian lamb with a side veggie. $7.00 for 2 servings.
Wed will be fish night. Cod (e-coupon) with shrimp (another e-coupon) and a side veggie (sale). $7.25 for 2 servings.
Thurs IDK yet. Maybe DH will cook the chorizo we didn't get to last week....? Cost at the top of this page.
Friday is take out from? Usually approx $25 for 2.
Saturday something out with the ATV club. Approx $25
Sun IDK yet. Maybe something on the smoker?
Have a fantastic week, everyone!

I have a container of sausage & rice that I just took from the freezer. Will add apple slices to go with it. Hmmm, may even saute the apples in some butter and brown sugar and cinnamon.

Sunday night spaghetti and cheesy garlic bread. Cost maybe $6?
Monday night chicken sausages topped with sauteed bell pepper and onion, tator tots and brussel sprouts. Cost $8-9? The brussel sprouts were a Birds Eye steamer thing and awful. I ate one and put the rest in the garbage.
Tonight I'm making ham and cheese pockets, salad and broccoli. Cost $7? The ham slice has been in the freezer for awhile.
Wednesday night is supposed to be dinner out with a cousin who is in town for work this week.
I'm trying to use to things from the freezer and not eat out so much. We will need to do some more grocery shopping soon for proteins. We have zero chicken.

we just got a brand new Stop & Shop near the office (long overdue, the one that had been here was absolutely filthy) so I went to check it out just now. it's freakin HUGE! I picked up a small cup of chicken noodle soup and a half turkey sub for $6. that's not too bad. next time I might pay the extra dollar upcharge for the Boar's Head turkey over the store brand. Swiss vs cheddar, also. but it will do.

It will be Publix turkey and cheese, and I can have it for a couple more meals.

ah, I'm ordinarily with you, but keep in mind that I work nights. tonight is the end of my work week, and I met friends for lunch near the office before coming in, so I wasn't bringing anything today. this was just easier, tonight.

I just prepped a value pack of BSCB for the freezer/use this week, thin sliced. we're doing chicken marsala tonight (w/o mushrooms, we ran out of burners. he's allergic, so we end up with two fry pans when I want mushrooms) over rice for him, linguine for me, and green beans. I basically prepped the pots to go, he's got the cooking and timing all down.
oh, and we're breaking in another of my Calphalon pans. yay!

didn't get around to making chicken tortilla soup this morning, after an unexpected visit to the tire shop to get one checked out for a leak. that all took way longer than expected. was able to skim the fat off the stock, though, and package most of it for the freezer. I saved 3c for soup to be made tomorrow, and made chicken salad with some of the meat.
dinner tonight was a chicken salad sandwich and a cup of chicken noodle soup. I picked up the soup when I went back to the brand new S&S to grab a bag of baby arugula to add to the sandwich, and I'm using up some old store brand burger rolls that I found in the kitchen this morning.
costs today - $1 bagged arugula $2.50 cup of soup

Sunday I ended up making oven fried chicken drumsticks with fried eggplant. Total cost approx $10 for 4 servings. Last night I picked up a bacon wrapped tenderloin for DH from the Manager's Special bin. $2.29! I had a spinach side salad with things I scrounged from the fridge: Baby spinach, kalamata olives, feta, cherry tomatoes, leftover dressing from Friday's takeout. I made this for the first time to serve on the side: Spaghetti Squash au Gratin with Bacon Total cost approx $7 for 8 servings. I put half into the freezer. Tonight: Beef sausage, zucchini and shrimp gumbo to use up some aging zucchini. I'll serve it over rice from the freezer leftover from Chinese take out 2 months ago. Total cost approx $10 for 4 servings. Tomorrow night: Breakfast for supper: Pork sausage patties, eggs, fried fingerling potatoes. Total cost approx $6 for 3 servings. Thursday: Something with ground beef. Friday: Take out from? Sat and Sun: IDK yet And DH decided last night he is going to smoke a prime rib Christmas Eve. Have a fantastic week, everyone!

I made chili in the crockpot, and then DH asked me if I wanted to go to the Fish Market for lunch. I protested just a little about the chili, but it will be great tomorrow, too. I might even eat some for supper if I ever get hungry again. I had a bowl of Cajun red beans and rice at the Fish Market with a salad.
When I eat like that, I don't usually want much supper.

Yesterday we had smoked ribs. Nom nom nom... DH bought them so IDK the price. Served them with corn niblets (on sale for $1) and cherry tomato mozzarella basil salads.
Tonight I'll pick up something on the way home from the big city. It will cost about $23 with tax.
Tomorrow night I'll make teriyaki chicken from the freezer with a side veggie. Cost approx $4
Wed will be leftover corned beef soup from the freezer. Cost was posted on prior page.
Thurs will be breakfast burritos. Cost approx $6 for 4.
Friday take out from?
Sat and Sun, IDK yet. Probably something easy since I'll be baking all weekend.
Have a fantastic week, y'all!

change of plans. I ended up nuking my soup around 4, but I still needed to go out to pick up dressing. well, I happened to stop at the wing bar, where I was informed that they are not allowed to fry anything in that set of fryers besides chicken. okay, game on! I took one each of 4 different flavors to try, I'd probably get any of them again. and then on the way out, I walked past the bakery fridge case to see they have "individual" dessert bowls for $3. I figured a carrot cake w/whipped frosting would be nice and soothing for my throat but this thing is seriously going to take me three days to finish. so, updates with the impulse purchases - $2.50 four wings $2.99 dessert (3 servings) $2.79 Caesar dressing $5.00 2 bags of bagel chips
