I have FIOS. Eh. I also have an old Comcrap box still on my house from the previous owners. Guess I should figure out what to do with that and get it off. Really don't need or want it.

Vacation has been great! I'm officially back on Tuesday but I'm taking some time to settle in again. Aside from getting viciously sunburned all is good I have a list 3 pages long for home chores and to dos but this week was all relaxation. I think I read 5 books, maybe 6? I started the Sue Grafton series earlier this year and finished V, I have W at home and then I'm waiting on the final 2 to come out.

Well, DH & I got a little bit done this evening. Usually he works late, but he had an earlier shift today, & will have the same shift tomorrow. So, after dinner tonight we worked on the garage, & emptied another box. We also found 4 paint cans from my Mom's place, which we opened up to dry out the paint, before we get rid of them. Baby steps.

Saturday's list. DH's goals are lists of pruning in the yard.

This weekend is applesauce weekend. I made 12 pints yesterday for me. Today I will do the other box of apples for DD. With all the anticipated eclipse traffic she isn't going to try and drive up this weekend. She is worried about going into labor and not being able to make it back to her doctor/hospital for delivery.
Applesauce is my least favorite canning to do but it shouldn't be too bad.

DH & I got one more box out of the garage today. I'm loving the extra room in there! We're crossing our fingers & toes, hoping the weather will be good enough for one more garage sale next Saturday & Sunday, but it's gotta be nice, or we're going to wait until September. There's no point in having one on Labor Day Weekend.

Here's what I accomplished yesterday. I'm working on today's list. We've been slow this morning. Gym time is done, but not much else. 😣

Okay ladies, who is watching the eclipse tomorrow? It's passing over early here in the west coast so that's how I plan to spend my morning Working on a nice long list for end of the month and September when I'll fully back to work mode on Tuesday.

I am. We're at 97%. We'll be at school because it's school registration day. I'll be in my classroom and DD#2 will be helping with registration. We bought glasses to share.

I'm going to try to. peak here is 2:48pm, which means I'll be driving to work during the buildup (not sure that's the best word to use, but y'all KWIM) for all of you that are going to watch, make sure you keep your pets inside. they are susceptible to the same eye damage we are, and good luck getting a pet to wear a pair of funky glasses to safely watch...

I'm in the path of totality. Work is closing down for half an hour tomorrow so everyone can go outside. They even provided official viewing glasses for everyone.

I am. We're something like 97% as well, and work is providing glasses for those who will be there (lots of people taking off to drive to full totality areas) and who want them.
I'm super nervous about my kindergartner watching it. The school district is providing glasses for everyone, and they're taking all of the kids out at various times, as long as the parents didn't specify they wanted them to stay inside and do an alternate activity.

I'm off today having lunch with my parents, we are in the 70% band which should happen around 2:45. My DS is on a back-country backpacking trip in the Tetons, with no phone service, and I am slightly worried about him, not about going blind, but bear attacks.

We are in the 90% but it's cloudy. Don't know what we will see.

I'm at 75% but will not try as I don't have the special glasses. Plus it is cloudy so not sure what if anything would be available. May watch it on TV in between chores. I was able to pass on several bags of craft items that I can't use to friends that will put them to good use. I still have a bit of stuff to go through but am slowly passing on supplies as I can. Also I have been adding to the donation box a little at a time. I have been keeping up with the housework and maintaining the areas that I have cleared from clutter buildup. I have tried to plan my days activities out using something like Knee Deep in Water Chloe. It has helped me by listing manageable chunks of items. I like marking off something as I finish it. I have been keeping close to home in this new normal called retirement. This helps with the organization as well as with the decluttering. I am trying to tackle one new area a week. Sometimes I am successful and finish the area but I do tend to go off task as well. I try to take some time each day to work on beading as the local craft show season begins next month. My friend and I have at least five shows scheduled so far and there are still a few we usually do that we have no information on. I have been trying to work within the supplies that I have and have been successful for the most part. I do have several project on my wish list that I need to get specific supplies for. They will wait until I have time to search for the supplies online and know that I will have some time to work on them. Therefore those won't be looked at until the very end of this year. I have to make some time soon to take photos of the latest items for my inventory. Also need to add a few more items to the Etsy shop. I do need to figure out a way to take better photos as well as I know that I have a lot of shadows in some of them. Time to rotate the laundry and to get something else done.

Eclipse was fun! I actually had to put on slipper and a sweater because the temperature dropped so much. Bill the Dog was nervous during the half hour of reduced light and heat, so I'm glad I was home with him. Back to work now!
The pictures I'll post in a moment are the beginning of the presents I need to wrap. By Saturday, I have 135 to wrap. On Sunday, we set them all up.

Got all the boxes from wedding stuff broke down and stuffed in the recycling bin and hauled it to the curb. Trash day is Tuesday. Bridal magazines will be going to an engaged friend. Refrigerator cleaned out. Laundry going. Trying to get some stuff done. This is my first time home for more than 12 hours in two weeks so I have catching up to do.

More prep...magnets are in those little boxes. Eight more actual gift bags are done; I'll do more after dinner.

YDS took the old laptop that DH had swiped and reformatted. It works as long as it is plugged in since we have not used in in three years. For email, it works fine, but it is one more item out of the house. I gave him 10 jars of food that I canned since he is moving into a different place when he returns from his trip. Little steps make a difference!
