Comment --- The DOW INDEX is appearing a bit "topish" and would not be surprised if a temporary dip occurred in the next two weeks.

Mod, I think you've flag it correctly .... Just take a glance at the Point & Figure chart of the Dow.

There's 26 x's in the last row ( 17,950 to 19,200 ). That's a "bunch"; I think a reversal from that

uptrend is a little overdue. Maybe I should pick a short this week ... huh

Archi, technically it could happen most anytime now.  But, the market is it's own master; perhaps even slave to a few Mr. Bigs who could start selling in sufficient volume to spook the "followers" to get it going down.  It will be interesting when it happens.

I have been preparing....got cash in reserve.

Hello everyone, sorry for my disappearance.

Have not had a lot of time to make a pick this week, so I will go with a holding I have.

Commodities have been strong and X has really been so strongly lately, and I hope the ride continues past $40 by next weekend. (So strong, it will probably sell off this week!)

I thought about LULU this week, but cannot guess whether it will break 10% up or 10% down , so I am going X, long.

Welcome back, VB!

Just sold several holdings for a decent profit and going to CASH as my chart of the DOW appears quite "topish" to me.  Will hold on to a pot full of CASH until an inevitable correction sets in over the next month or two.  Am comfortable holding cash at this point (and hope that I'm not making any mistake.)     The stocks I would like to put in the port just seem quite overvalued now.

I was wrong about LULU this week.
I said a 10% move. Wrong!
About 20% positive move this week on a lukewarm quarter with so-so future guidance.
I guess a 100,000,000 stock buyback did it for them.
Of course it might drop on Thursday and Friday, but still a winner this week.
X did a nice move today, but not good enough!
