Well, it was pouring down rain here - like close to 10 inches so that blew my chances of seeing it. I have enjoyed the pictures that friend posted on FB. Won't be around for the next one  |

Eclipse was awesome! We had perfectly clear weather, I got some ok pictures but was really pissed because I couldn't find my tripod, and my 300mm lens doesn't have image stabilization anyway so it was hard to get clear shots.  I stayed outside for 2 hours watching though! |

Eclipse was awesome! We had perfectly clear weather, I got some ok pictures but was really pissed because I couldn't find my tripod, and my 300mm lens doesn't have image stabilization anyway so it was hard to get clear shots. I stayed outside for 2 hours watching though! ditto. I took a few pics with my roommate's camera, but realized I probably didn't know what the hell I was doing with it anyway. I parked myself on the sidewalk just back from the beach and watched. perfect night, except for the loud stoners that were sitting in the little park at the road race finish line making all kinds of noise. seeing everyone's pics on FB from all over the country today has been nice though!  |
