Last week eurozone finance ministers approved Greece’s new bailout, a major step toward ending a crisis that had threatened to tear apart Europe’s single currency. Meanwhile, the European Commission was outlining its latest efforts to address what it called the greatest migration crisis Europe has faced since the end of World War II.

Few believe the measures announced match the scale of the challenge. The EU border agency Frontex estimates that more than 100,000 migrants crossed into the EU in July alone, compared with 270,000 in the whole of 2014.

More than 50,000 turned up in Greece in July, more than in the whole of 2014. Many of them have been washing up in small inflatable boats on four small Greek islands. Similar numbers have been making their way to Italy from Libya, while 35,000 have arrived in July alone at the Hungarian border with Serbia.

Many are fleeing violence in Syria, Afghanistan and Libya; others are traveling from Iraq, Pakistan and the Horn of Africa in search of a better life. Most have paid large sums to traffickers who brazenly advertise their services via social media.

Once in Europe, many are intent on making their way to Northern Europe, where jobs are more plentiful. Germany reckons up to 600,000 migrants have arrived this year. Meanwhile, large numbers have congregated around the French port of Calais, where they have besieged the Channel Tunnel, hoping to smuggle themselves into the U.K.

Keep in mind that these numbers are just starting to swell. As the month goes on people will start piling up at these fences, and the numbers will become so enormous that even the politicians that are pining to relocate these refugees will start to realize they are essential being invaded. More boarder controls will be implemented - Germany today is a prime example - and desperation will set in among the refugee because they were lead to believe that Europe is the land of milk and honey and would be welcomed with open arms.

Most of these refugees seem to be able bodied men. Those should be returned to their country of origin immediately. Those that are allowed to stay need to be put on BC and told no more children and no children at all. Learn the language and adopt the religion and customs of the country you're invading and allowed to stay in. Don't want to? Go back then. We have fought for all the freedoms we have in this country, it's time that everyone else did the same. Of course they won't because at their core their are weak, and that is why at the end of this Islam will no longer exists.

I think it's a case of preoccupation. With Putin destabilizing Eastern Europe and supporting the rise of far right EU political parties, a debt crisis to worry about, the initial thought of we want to help these people was reactionary  - which is fine.  However, as you can clearly see by the fact that in just two weeks the estimates ‎have jumped from 600k to 1M, the initial call of "help at all costs" was naive without a doubt.

There have been 12 million people displaced in Syria, Iraq has to be close to the same now. The refugee camps in Lebanon, Turkey, Jordan, etc that house millions of people are absolute hell holes that are ‎being overrun by the war. This is all over and above the Africans crossing the Mediterranean and people coming from the Ukraine. 

The Europeans are going to have to get real about this situation in a hurry, the rapid increase in estimates speak volumes toward their preparedness.

We took in thousands and thousands of Vietnamese refugees, and I have no problem with that, because.....


They didn't demand you convert to their religion.
They didn't defy court orders because they only obey sharia law.
They weren't willing to "take up the sword against the infidels."
They didn't harass women.
They didn't demand special diets in schools and hospitals.
They didn't appropriate community swimming pools and gyms because their religion prohibits men seeing women unless she's covered head to toe.
They didn't demand zoning changes in communities.
They didn't protest in front of schools because they didn't like the curriculum.
They didn't demand that we call in a female doctor from her vacation because their wives are special snowflakes who should die rather than being treated by a male.

The list is endless. I had no problem helping the Vietnamese boat people. They were lovely and assimilated well.
The Muslims just make more and more demands.
