I totally don't understand the premise of this thread.....
because they don't drug test people on welfare, etc., therefore they shouldn't have drug tested this reporter?
the two don't have anything to do with each other
one is getting money from the gov, the other is getting money from a private entity
racists are still allowed to get welfare, does that mean Hulk Hogan should still have his job?

She was drug tested AFTER AN ACCIDENT and claimed the she recently used what MONTHS LATER became state legal but remains federally illegal when she popped positive. There's no way to definitively tell WHEN she used. 2 days b4 or 2 minutes b4 the accident

It appears she was operating one of the TV station's company vehicles. The station probably has a post-accident drug test policy (along with pre-employment and probable cause). She failed the test.

Oh well then no Welfare for them! you are talking about the same condition as before. but you said ANY condition. so, what about the "condition" of not being a Muslim? to help you understand, let's assume that we are talking about devout Muslims who don't smoke or drink. but if you want to keep dancing around, i think your idea of keeping people off welfare because they smoke and drink is absurd.

they DO, actually. it was tried in Florida. it failed miserably, because the rate of drug use among the poor was about 10x lower than expected, and therefore the cost of keeping people who are addicted on welfare was LOWER than the cost of the program. of course, that didn't satisfy some people. they are the same people demanding costly voter ID laws to prevent a basically non-existent problem (and creating a whole new one).
therefore they shouldn't have drug tested this reporter?
they do if you are categorically opposed to drug testing on constitutional grounds.
