Yup, DH told me that when they went to South Africa, they all had to go to a special place and shots were about $500 apiece. This was more than ten years ago. These are the same that we got for Turkey. Last time, I paid $150 for both. I seriously doubt we will need to pay $500 each.

When I started going to my allergy clinic, it was considered a doctor's office. They had some internal realignment and voila they were now an outpatient clinic of the hospital and I was hit with a $50 copay instead of a $35 one. I went round with the insurance and it was a facility charge. That was about the time I fired them.
I had no interest in continuing with allergy shots that sent me into anaphylactic shock six months into maintenance dose. Plus paying $50 and parking every 2 weeks for something that was giving me no benefit. I found a much better allergy clinic that actually explains stuff to me.
When I had a hard time finding egg free flu shots this winter, my doctor herself called me to go through pros and cons of the egg containing one. The old place has the Hopkins name behind it but I found them to be awful. I bought into the name hook, line and sinker and overall it was a very disappointing experience.
