Turquoise or white would go nicely. For me, a pair of crutches would be my accessory. I have wide feet and my toes are hurting just looking at those.

My sister has a term for shoes you can't stand/walk in for long periods of time. Sitting shoes. Those look like sitting shoes to me. I can't really do heels at all though, they always kill me.

I mean to each their own and all, but in that shoe's case, I'm lost as to why someone would like it.

Speaking of yoga pants, I wish I could devise a polite way to tell the woman in front of me at class (35'ish, very slim, very attractive, teacher, mother, etc.) that her yoga pants are so sheer that I can readily discern whether it's bikini or thong and the exact pattern and color. Trust me on this, one should not wear chocolate brown and lime green chevron bikinis under any yoga pant ever made. And possibly not under anything else. She always wears a flyaway cardigan type thing over her top but it doesn't disguise the camel toe in the front or the TMI in the back.

I have yet to find a replacement for my favorite yoga pants ever, which I purchased from VS when I was in college. The brand name is Moda or something like that - they're cotton/spandex, slightly boot cut, super comfy, and I haven't found any like them again. My last good pair is starting to wear real thin. I don't love the yoga pants at Marshall's (I do love the price though) because they're mostly more spandexy, where these old ones are more cotton jersey. I haven't tried any higher end places because it kills me to spend the money - I like Gap's Athleta for workout and swim wear but they are expensive. www.athleta.com though, if anyone wants to take a look - their bathing suits are what I mostly buy, the other stuff is pricey but I am willing to spend on a good bathing suit that fits me well. I bought some yoga pants from American Eagle years ago that I think are similar to what you're describing. They long, slightly flared and stretchy cottony. I love them even though they're old and kind of faded now. They were on clearance, and branded by AE's sister company "aerie". I don't know how to post pictures, but here's a link to what they have now in a boot cut. They describe them as cotton jersey. linkIf I didn't even get the link right lol, got to ae.com (American Eagle's website), click on aerie at the top and look at their yoga pants.

I have decided that some people must not sweat. There is a lady who comes to my body combat class in full make-up, hair pulled back in a fancy clip, and wearing one of those workout skirts. People are sweating so profusely that they have to wipe it off the floor periodically so no one slips and falls. I go after work so I am in full make-up but by the time I am done I look like the bride of Frankenstein. Meanwhile, this lady dabs her face with a paper towel and walks out the door almost the same way she looked when she walked in an hour ago. WTH? Extreme heat makes me sweat, physical exertion, not necessarily. When I first started working out, I thought maybe I wasn't doing anything worthwhile because I didn't really sweat much. My muscles told me I really was doing something. When I do work up a sweat, it's more on my back and stomach than my face.

Black, gray, white, blue (turquoise and navy are good suggestions), mint green.

I don't wear shorts, but I like White House Black Market. I wonder if they have an outlet in WI? My latest purchase from there is a mint green 3/4 sleeve sweater and a pair of Kacki pants that I think are supposed to be capri's but since I am so short, they are regular pants. I have a black and gold cardigan that I get lots of compliments on when I wear it too.
DD really likes a store called Dry Goods for funky business casual.

I thought the target market was for people who wanted the comfort, but not the shame, of going to Wal-Mart in their pajamas. Yoga pants are darn comfy. Agreed. Yoga pants and a workout tank are the middle class's dirty pajamas.

I think you should go up to her when there isn't anyone around, and in a low voice just say "hey, I'm not sure if you know, but I can see the design of your underwear through your pants" You don't have to mention that this is an ongoing issue or the camel toe thing. She probably doesn't realize- though how, I'm not sure.

I don't understand how some people can't know unless they refuse to ever use a mirror. I saw a woman using tights as a pants and her top wasn't near long enough to cover her rear end.
They were stretched so tight I could clearly see that she was wearing neon pink bikini underwear.
I don't think she cared. I mean you'd think at one point you'd catch your reflection walking out of the bathroom and think "OMG!" and get a sweatshirt to tie around your waist.
Or if you are going to insist that tights = pants either wear neutral colored underwear or underwear that matches the tights.
I swear they think they look hot.

I guess that woman missed the sheer pants controversy surrounding Lululemon a couple of years ago.

I'd love for you ladies to help me accessorize/suggest some jewelry I could coordinate with my clothes for Greece. I have the bulk of my clothes planned out - if I take a photo of some of it, can some of you who do jewelry better than me help a girl out? I don't have a lot of stuff to accessorize with that's nice but generic enough to wear across colors/styles. All I usually wear is my wedding rings, a silver ring on my right ring finger, three plain silver earrings (regular pierced ears plus one cartilage) and sometimes my Alex & Ani bracelets. I'm the worst with accessories. If I get some of my clothes together, would you guys make some suggestions? Oh and Pink, thanks for the lead on yoga pants, I'm going to see if the store has them for me to try on next time I'm at the mall!

I may've told this story on the board before, but our awful employee who just mercifully left wore THE most inappropriate outfit to the first professional meeting we took her to back when she started. Mini skirt up to her butt, hooker heels, and the sheerest white blouse with the most cleaveage showing. But this wasn't the worst of it. Under the sheer blouse, she wore a black bra that was so small on her that HER NIPPLES WERE VISIBLE over the top of it, THROUGH THE BLOUSE. we were MORTIFIED and I guarantee she knew exactly how she looked. She's the reason we ended up with a dress code.

@pinkcshmere, I went to TJ Maxx yesterday and took a look at the jeans. Tried on a pair of Lucky Brand and Joe's Jeans. The Luckys were alright, but the Joe's looked pretty damn good on me. Too bad they were $60! I might hit up a consignment store or two on Friday to see if maybe they have Joe's Jeans.

I had a pair of yoga pants that didn't start out see-through, but wore thin and eventually you could see if I was wearing bright underwear. I also did not have a full length mirror so I didn't know until someone told me. Also, even if I had a full length mirror, I was not in the habit of turning to look at my butt, and that is the only place the fabric stretched thin enough.

She had absolutely no clue how to dress for a professional meeting. Our CEO had to talk to her several times about it. Her dress finally did get better but her attitude and work ethic did not, which is why she was eventually fired. Sometimes I really am convinced that people are either completely clueless or they don't own a mirror.

Too bad they were $60! I might hit up a consignment store or two on Friday to see if maybe they have Joe's Jeans. I've wondered about Joe's Jeans. I've only ever seen them IRL (I see them online a lot) at a small store that sells them at regular price ~$100 and up. Some styles of Lucky Brand jeans fit me much better than other styles. If you have a Lucky Brand store near you, try to catch a good sale and see if any of the different cuts fit you better. I doubt I've spent over $40 for Lucky jeans on sale at their store or on their website. I already don't really like shopping and something about TJ Maxx and Marshall's make me dread going in there. It's not the clothes themselves, you can find some good stuff there. I think it's the "find" part that I don't like. I'm a terrible shopper.

I'd put up a picture if I could figure out how to make Instagram show up here! Lets try photobucket instead
