chiver78 I know she had bought some LLR leggings and really liked them. I do love my LLR leggings. I wear them under summer dresses so I can get more use out of my current wardrobe. all of it is quite overpriced for what it is, though.

You wear leggings under dresses in the summer? Doesn't that get rather hot? Or did I misunderstand you?

I'm getting old.

I don't know anyone who sells LLR. My favorite pair I have now is from VS, but of course they don't seem to sell this style anymore. I could go to the mall and look, but I really hate shopping, so I'm hoping to avoid that and just order online.

I got a gift certificate for Christmas and plan to find something decent to wear to work. I'm going to search the clearance racks first. I'll probably find some dresses for the spring/summer there. Maybe I can find some cute shoes which I really need.

I did something similar last month. I do force myself to get rid of one "like" item for each new item I buy, it helps keep my closet under control.
Have you tried ThredUp? It's an online consignment site. I still don't have it in me to pay retail price for nice clothes, but I've gotten some really good stuff there, and almost all is either new-with-tags or barely used. They have a lot of WHBM and Michael Kors stuff, two of my favorite labels.
(Cute clothes, btw!)

I'm jealous movingforward! I do want some new things, but: a) I need to be saving $/can't really afford too much b) I have no reason to buy more since where I work most people wear anything (jeans, PJ bottoms, etc) I saw a cute beach coverup at TJ Maxx Sunday for $19.99, but I made myself put it back. I went in for something to hold my large kitchen utensils, not clothes. I do, however, have a bath and body/hair products problem. Along with the $3.99 big ol' mason jar, I ended up buying Italian milled vegan lemon-scented soap and bergamot and lime natural deodorant. midjd, I've used ThredUp a couple of times and I liked the things I purchased. One of those was snow bibs for DS last year: $15. When I have more $$ I'm definitely getting a bag from that site.

I've been shopping my wardrobe. I can't really afford to overhaul my entire wardrobe. It's not so much I have nothing to wear but that I've gotten in a rut. When I have a free afternoon I've been taking apart my closet/drawers and pairing things together with the goal of not repeating the same outfit twice.
I get a "new" style without breaking the bank and it's also been useful to motivate me to get rid of some stuff that I have been wishy washy about. Forcing myself to wear it reminds me of why it's been hanging in the back of the closet all this time.
I found that my style has drifted too far into the unique/dramatic category making it hard to create a complete outfit. So if something new comes in for the time being it has to be something that can I create at least three different outfits with using things I already own.

I’m getting a bonus this coming Friday, so I’ll probably get a few new things. Most of it willgo towards our cruise this summer and the rest will go in savings towards the kitchen remodel I want to do next year.
I have too many clothes that don’t fit and need to be weeded out. I think if I do that I canget abetter idea of what I really need. DVETs will get some nice stuff!

I have so many clothes and purses, nice stuff. However, with my stupid feet I can't wear nice shoes with them, talk about ruining an outfit, just makes me sick. I'm going to go through my shoes and see if there are some I can wear. But now about all are tennis. What I would give to have on a nice classy outfit with coordinating shoes again. Bought some new slacks and a blouse at Macys closing, Tommy Hilfiger, first time ever I am having to shorten slacks, like wow, I've shrunk that much? Also got a couple of very nice scarves. Not long ago found a fitted trench coat, spring, black fabric with white piping, looks very good been wearing it with scarves a lot lately. I look at the women around here, no makeup on, hair let go and not neatly trimmed, pajama bottoms on or clothes that are sloppy or all the same. So sad, people used to take pride in the way they look. Obviously I still do. Only time I'm not dressed nicely is when we are working on something. I try to encourage DD also, she kind of does in her own way, at least she is neat and clean. She is doing a little better on matching her clothing and not picking tshirts with writing on them daily.

OMG guys - I need help! I need a new winter coat for next year but I am having purchase paralysis. I need a warm winter coat - puffy with either down or down alternative. It needs to have a hood and come down past my hips (I'm 5'7"). I currently have a black, hooded, down-filled Lands End coat that is WONDERFUL but it's nearly worn out. I've had it for nearly 10 years, and I need my next coat to last just as long if not longer. I have searched for weeks and have seen a lot I like, but I'm afraid to sink $$ into a coat I'll only get 3-4 years out of.
I want to spend less than $100, but I'm willing to go to $125 if the quality is superior.
Aaaaaaaannnndddd.... GO!

I don't see any down puffiness!!!! But other than that, it's cute. What state did you move from again? And did it keep you warm there? I tend to be more on the colder side so what keeps me warm might make other people sweat.

Its not as cold here but Ohio was the winter bomb! With all the Lake Erie effect it was always super cold. And this coat kept me warm there as well, even while shoveling the mounds of snow and during the winter blizzards. I've had it for 4 years now, no problems.

I need to be toasty warm in the Northeast winter and I don't want to have to wear lots of layers under my coat. I've worn a t-shirt under my Lands End coat in winter and have been warm.

All the figure skating coaches wear these. It keeps their butts warm when they are on the ice for hours. They also aren't really bulky, and are pretty lightweight.

It's been skiing, sledding, snowmobiling, to god knows how many hockey practices, hockey games, figure skating practices, and general all around wear. You can't kill those things.
