I had FROST!!! Friggin frost on my lawn this morning. Yes, I know the last frost day for my area is May 15th, but (whiiiiinnnne) I'm so ready for the cold stuff to be over. To all the wusses (*cough* thyme4change *cough) out there who can't tolerate water when it's under 80 degrees... I wanted DH to mow the grass this weekend, but if we have frost/it'stoocoldi'llfreezehoney then I guess he has a valid excuse. Waaaahhhh! I want to plant stuff, I NEED to feel the earth and get my hands dirty. My skin is just itching to get out and play. (Stomps off to a garden center to just breath and drool)

Nancy gets it worse than I do, but there's enough of all of y'all down here. We get a lot of rain, but we don't have to shovel it. Yeah rain can sometimes be more miserable than snow, especially freezing rain. But you get Hurricanes and I wouldn't wish that on any group except ISIS. They can have the Tornadoes too. I don't get a lot of freezing rain Hurricanes are the best of the bunch, you have DAYS to prepare and get out of the way and if the power goes out you won't freeze to death or be snowed in

The whine of tornado sirens going off at three in the morning are soooooo calming.

Captain As I recall, you are in metro Chicago. The forecast for Sat is cold w/a HIGH of 49 and RAIN. NOT very likely DH will be going out to mow. I have been watching as it is a grands bday party.
