I haven't noticed any issues lately. I have a box with 2 CDs I haven't opened yet. The box seemed pretty well packed. If things are showing up late, it might be the local post office's fault. I get a lot of things that come via UPS SurePost and the post office does final delivery. They have been bad about sitting on stuff and delivering it when they feel like it. I haven't ordered anything with laundry detergent though.

I have probably bought a TON of stuff (quite literally) since I first started shopping on-line with them... and haven't had a "their fault" issue with a single thing yet.
(I did have a set of boots that was the wrong size... but that wasn't their fault. The wife told me the wrong size, and I ordered what she told me)

Ok, I ordered a Baden Elite leather composite indoor game basketball for my daughter. It's a $50+ basketball. ANd, it arrived in a box with NO original packaging. And, the orange color of it was just off from the ones I have seen. Wouldn't be too hard to imprint on a cheap basketball and pass it off. I am getting highly annoyed with Amazon now trying to send me seconds when I pay for new, etc. SO, why wasn't a NEW item in the original packaging? I returned it because I was ticked. I may just return to mall shopping.

Too good--that one-click is just to easy, and I wind up doing a lot of impulse shopping. I am just waiting for a "New Year's Resolutions" thread to start. That's going to be one of mine, STOP SHOPPING.

Are you sure you bought from Amazon... That's a good and valid question. Me, personally, I generally only buy things "fulfilled by Amazon" (stocked in an Amazon warehouse somewhere and shipped directly BY Amazon) because that's the only way to take advantage of the "Prime" shipping that I paid an annual fee for. I'd bet any "not quite as new as one would hope" items are coming from a source that's just linked in Amazon's system, but they ship it from their own business.

I tend to agree with @richardintn. I had an issue last year where I wanted a case for my iPad. I picked one out on Amazon, and there was one retailer at less than half the price under the exact same product link. I specifically warned my mother that was likely a fake, as the main retailer indicated they do not allow resale. Amazon would not let her pay the higher price. It kept redirecting her to the cheaper seller, and so she bought that one. Sure enough, fake (exact same design, different logo on the front). It's working fine, so I've got no issues, but that could be what happened to Shooby.

I understand there are multiple sellers on Amazon. And, I look to see who is filling the order. Sometimes it is Amazon and sometimes not. I always check to see and I preferentially order via them.

I've already order $95 worth of items from them today in 3 different orders. All are supposed to be delivered Tuesday! I gotta make my orders before I cancelled my Amazon Prime on the 2nd. For full disclosure, the 2nd order was immediately after I placed my first. It listed a recommendation of what I had been looking at some other point and I realized I did get want to get some, but had forgotten until then. The 3rd order was placed a couple of hours later. After everything has been received, our desk should be more fully functional (printer, extra ink, and TV as a 2nd monitor hooked up) and I'll have something for DD to use to taste-test items (I think milee recommended something similiar - www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000K9WTLO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)Edited to correct the poster who recommended them.

I didn't reorder Prime yet. For $99 I can group for Super Saver Shipping or maybe see what the shipping is. $99 seems a bit pricey at this point

If it was JUST the shipping... I think at $99, I'd give it a pass, too.
But... I watch Prime Video (which is included) on my laptop and on my new Fire Stick (plugged into my bedroom's "dumb" TV), and The Wife watches it on the "Smart" TV in the living room. So, for us it's like Netflix + "Free"* 2-day shipping for that $99. Well worth it (for now anyway).
ETA: well... since it's a paid service, it's not technically "free"... but there's no charge at the time of order.

Yeah, the 2 day thing is so nice. I've become spoiled. It's so hard to wait for stuff anymore.

Yeah, the 2 day thing is so nice. I've become spoiled. It's so hard to wait for stuff anymore. Two day sometimes is next day if you are not too far from one of Amazon's distribution centers. There is a distribution center in Kentucky and if I order something early enough in the day, I often get it next day.

I got the trial Prime for 30 days. I'll get charged for it on the 2nd if I don't cancel beforehand. I'll be canceling by the 2nd. I did discover that 4th season of The Glades is on their Prime TV thing so I'll be watching it beforehand too. Good thing I'm off work this week.
