My Largest "firecracker" had five and one half pounds of super fine black power, 36" fuse for some reason, I must have wanted to a long ways away. Of course if the ATF is listening I'm making all of this up.

welded sch.80 pipe. brass plug, you really don't need any sparks.
Put this in a gully several miles from any house, after dark, A micro milli before the main noise maker, something redhot left the scene at 45 degrees , no ark straight out. out of sight.
I'm pretty sure that this one of the unidentified objects now circling the earth. This left a hole 4' deep 6' across.
Of course if the ATF is listening everything I have written here is a complete lie.

I would definetly end up in some juvenile psychiatric detention center with today's rules and laws. Any of you built any flash bombs or bang grenades as a kid? They sure we're fun!

I see some kids today being charged under the present terrorist laws for the same thing that we may have done, I would say is an over reaction. I'm pretty sure there's a potato in orbit that I put there, and I shattered a nieghbor's garage windows from the propellent which was a mixture of kerosene and gasoline. I jammed those old metal beer cans together, soldered, and duct taped them together at the seams, punched a small hold at the base for a fuse, poured the fuel mixture in, jammed the potato into the homemade cannon, dug a hole to place the cannon in in the event of a failure so I wouldn't eat shrapnel. It wasn't terribly elaborate for its day- I wasn't even mediocre at it compared to other kid's contraptions. At first, I thought the potato was disintegrated- because I'd seen many other potatoes leave these cannons, but then I saw it way the hell up over the tree tops still going. My real guess is that it landed in the school yard. i shot a prominent businessman in the head with a grape (he was driving by in his Caddy) when i was maybe 10 years old. he got so pissed that he blacklisted me, and i never managed to get a job locally all through high school.

remove the pellets from a 12 Ga shotgun shell. Put the shell in a vise. Grab a hammer and tell your cousin to "Watch This!"

Black powder? That's "high tech" stuff! Try making things go boom using stuf like a piece of "carbide" or that's what we called it. Is basically the stone/rock that if you drop water on starts effervescing and releases fumes also known as "acetylene" many a times I have been knocked on my posterior by some lid from a paint can or the can itself. You see, you just take a paint can with a lid and drill a hole in the bottom. Next you take this calcareous rock(carbide) drop it in the can, drop a pinch of water on or spit on it if you feel gutsy, put it on the ground, put your foot firmly without crashing it on top, cover the bottom whole with your finger( ) for a few seconds and then light a match and slowly, cautiously take it to the bottom hole! And then hang on for a ride!!! Most of the time is just a loud bang but sometimes...goes as planned and you end up on the ground with a bunch of multicolored stars swirling around your head! Now, who wants to try it!

Didn't need a fuse- you could hold it and stick a lighter at a small hole in the bottom.

The oddest thing I ever did was make home-made flechette(ish) rounds.
home loaded shotgun shells... except we'd load them "10 penny" nails (with filed/ground-down heads) instead of buckshot.

Yeah... um... About the DEATH BULLETS come to shred our insides that I mentioned briefly in the OP...? The G2 Research guys are going to read this thread and run back to their CEO, "Boss. Spike-tipped, copper-jacketed, nail-filled, kerosene-soaked white-hot depleted uranium shells, each with a half-ton explosive yield! It's what they're all clamoring for. Even the one from California! We'll call them 'War Crime Rounds'."

Well... we mostly only shot trees and wood targets with them... but... they were pretty awesome. We shot a watermelon with one once... juiced it. Literally.

Interesting- a lot of the crap we did was because my friends dad had a reloading machine and supplies- probably lucky we didn't blow a barrel apart because we had no idea what we were doing. We crammed more shit in shotgun shells and fired them than I can remember.
