I still have a dress coat like that which I wore to work. Get this. It was a gift from the mother of my teenage fiance who dumped me for an anorexic then b*tched about the poor choice. I was in my 30s and married.

Captain, My down coats are all from Eddie Bauer. You might want to check their web site too. I have two long down coats, a shorter one, which I am wearing now to walk my Dog, and a longer one I wear when it is colder. I also have a down winter jacket and a down car coat which is spring/fall weight. Wherever you order your coat from, I suggest you order two sizes...the one you expect to fit and one size larger, otherwise the most desirable colors may be out of stock when you go to reorder. I like ordering from EB- they don't have peteites in the local store, but if I order online, I can return what dosn't work to the local store. Once you order you will get their catalogs and coupons. The only concern I would have is all my down coats occasionally lose feathers- I hope they would not cause allergy problems for you. www.eddiebauer.com/product/down-duffle-coat/20612164/_/A-ebSku_0063728632000060__20612164_catalog10002_en__US?showProducts=&backToCat=Parkas&previousPage=FNAV&tab=women&color=632Captain how about this one. I am not sure you need down...I am a freezy cat...I feel ridiculous in my long down coat right now, but expect I will adjust to the cold in a few weeks. Oh, and I was all my down coats at home. You throw them in the dryer with a couple of tennis balls..they fluff the down up. They make a lot of noise, but it works fine.
