I had the thrill of seeing this yesterday at Logan Airport in Boston. I told Chiv I would post this after I had a chance to get organized this morning, so here it is:
Chiv had hoped to be there on Friday for the send off for Alisha and her family, but due to hectic moving days, this will have to do.

Nope, it's for you and all the volunteer things you do for them. I just wish you could have seen this yourself. As soon as I saw it I knew what it was for. Besides, people might not look if it was for someone they didn't know....we all know you.

I saw coverage on the news Friday morning as I was getting ready for work. looks like the Foundation and volunteers put on quite the party!! and thank you for the kind words for the rest of you that might not know the story, this picture is from the send-off for a young girl named Alisha. hers is the 7000th Wish granted by the MA/RI chapter of the Make-a-Wish Foundation. we are all always welcome to join in on any airport sendoffs, but they are always crazy early in the morning to make sure the kids and their families get a full day in FL once they get there. my world's been all over the place lately and will be until I hand over my house keys. I was definitely bummed to have missed this send-off. if any of the MA/RI posters want to get involved with all this fun, definitely please shoot me a PM. I'd be happy to point you toward our chapter's contacts to get involved.  |

Princess Alisha has returned home tonight, MaW posted this pic to their FB page just now (i hope this link works!). the gate was still decorated as a castle, and it seems that the castle will be going home with the family for the little girl's bedroom at home. so much for this organization and what we all can do with a little imagination.  link |
