This needs to get out there. With their diet, can you imagine what they must smell like?

Have you ever smelled "red tide?" No, thank goodness. Is that where dead fish are floating too? If yes, I can imagine it. One reason I don't eat fish.

I was reminded of this today listening to some DJs on a local radio station discussing how to punish smart-aleck kids. One of them asked his eight-year-old to clean her room, and she mouthed off at him, refusing to do it. So he tried bargaining with her to get her to do it. Bargaining?Seriously, if I had ever mouthed off at my dad, instead of doing what I was told when I was told to do it, my face would have met the hardest hand in New York State, and my teeth would have been in Connecticut. What part of "I am the parent; I provide you with room, food, all your needs and a whole lotta your wants" gives a kid any leeway to shoot off a smart mouth? Just asking, since I don't have kids. If I did and my kid said one smartass word, I'd be taking all their fun stuff away, packing it in trash bags and donating it pronto if cleaning it up was too much trouble for them. And I'd make them watch me donate their stuff.

Mean world out there.

Big girls learn arson when they are little girls. Drew Barrymore in "Firestarter" was my hero when I was a kid. Fire is good. Unless you almost burn the house down lighting up books of matches in the bathroom.
