Sounds like me too! Unfortunately I'm in a job that requires early mornings. Retirement can't come soon enough! Waking up at noon sounds wonderful! Good luck with waking up at noon. I thought the same thing and I still get up at 6. But I never slept in ever so maybe it's just a thing built into my DNA Waking up at noon is wonderful except when people are mowing the lawns, weedwhacking, having construction work done and the world's loudest mail truck is the one your mailman has. Then snowplows and snowblowers in winter and husbands who are awake during the day. A real joy, sleeping until noon.

And, after 17 years, DH is trained to be quiet so I can sleep in on weekends.

Except that DH's idea of being quiet is to check to see if I'm sleeping then close the bedroom door so he won't disturb me. Trouble is he's hard of hearing (even with hearing aids), and he almost slams it! Wakes me up every time!

Reason #2 is with all of the storm damage we had here this Summer, the neighbors are just now starting to get the contractors out to redo their roof (and siding). And, unfortunately, I live in an area where contractors can begin working at 7 a.m. Seven days a week. Yippee.

The house 2 over is having something done, no idea what, but I haven't really heard anything from them. Which is a miracle because my bed is on that wall. Now the chainsaw across the street.......gggrr... I need to sleep until noon. I don't often get to bed until 6. 6 hours of sleep does not make me happy. Hell, I got 10 hours on Sunday. I was ECSTATIC!! I was also drugged with pain meds.

Trouble is he's hard of hearing (even with hearing aids), and he almost slams it! Wakes me up every time! Heh. We get around that 2 ways. 1) I had to take the bedroom door off and put a curtain up in order for DH's wheelchair to fit. 2) I'm the HOH so it really doesn't matter. I just roll onto my good ear. He keeps the TV volume so low, to me anyway, that I usually don't realize it's actually on. I read closed caption.

Story of my life! That and prying jaws open when I ask what they are eating and they just sit there and continue chewing.
