T3, It is my understanding : the T- bond market is a better reference point for the year for the Total markets then the stock-market. Just a thought, BiMetalAuPt

Well, I really think that it's time to start to put in some starting positions in Energy. This morning Bought WLL at 36 and some EPD at 35. Looks like Oil has Bottomed out, may test that 40 level again, who knows.

Government needs to open up the Export laws. That would help getting rid of some of it.

I have been thinking about the export topic a bit lately. I know we have been advocating for it, but how about stopping all imports from OPEC nations? Seems insane to me that we have an oil glut in North America and we bring oil in from OPEC.

WLL is looking good today. I have a 34.50 basis and it closed today at 40 on really high volume. Feels like something is going on.

Okay brainiacs, got a question for you : WHAT % OF TIME DOES A BEAR JANUARY = A BEAR YEAR? I have been thinking about this since you posted it OB. The stat is easy enough to Google, but I think a more accurate response would be that it's irrelevant. IMO, it's not if it's going to be a bear year, it's a matter of when major events shake things to the point that we are talking savings and loan/dot com/real estate bubble, melt down. It's those types of "black swan" events that you want to be on the look out for. Because when something in that scope happens, you want to be ready to strike when the iron is hot and forge a better investment horizon for you and your family.

AHB, they had a Funeral that started at the state house and ended at the Grave site of Lincoln. When you live so close to it for all of your life you don't notice it. My loss I know. I own some Samaul Hills everyday dishs from New-Salem State Park where they sent Lincoln to Beardstown to pick them up for them. I'm sure He drank plenty of Coffee or Tea or something a little stronger out of them when He spent His time in New-Salem. Some of that set was donated to the Park back in 1948 when it opened up. The rest of the set has been past down since 1830. I've always wanted to know if they where worth anything. LOL

I hear ya. You wouldn't have caught me dead at an event like that. Especially if I lived around it, like you are saying. Yeah, that tea set is great. Goes nice with your antique guns and knives, lol.. The picture on the article I was reading about the Lincoln event was the giant bronze head with the lucky nose.. . I look forward to showing the kids the museum and the Mason temple when we are on our way through in 2017.

A++++. I WAS THOUGHT THERE ARE FOUR WAYS TO HANDEL A GROWTH STOCK! I: STUDY EVER THING BEFORE YOU MAKE ANY CASH RISK TRANSLATIONS. NEVER PAY MORE THEN DISCOUNTED CASH VALUE. BUY 0NLY WHAT YOU MAY LOSE. BUY ONLY AN AMOUNT THAT IS IN BALANCE & ALLOWED WITH COVERING BONDS: NEVER ABOVE AMOUNT O0F PROTECTION. ii: RECALL THE REALITIES OF THE WORLD : I CALL THEM BLACK SWANS. iii: RECALL: FAMILY FIRST; KASH THEN THINGS; STOCKS AND BONDS ARE THINGS": BONDS ARE THE HOUSE YOU LIVE IN, IV: SELL AT THE FIRST TIME YOUR PRICE IS REACHED: KEEP THE HOUSE MONEY WORKING. GOD BLESS; BiMetalAuPt

, Makes sense to me. Never buy anything you don 't know about. Never pay too much for something that could turn around. Only spend what you are willing to lose and cover what you are spending with a sure thing - bonds.(Personally I would add non leveraged cash flow A++++ RE to the sure thing.. but, I digress) Don't let the ups and downs of the "jerks" get ya because you're buying on fundamentals - which are: God, Family, Finances - in that order. Always sell to soon because you're usually always in the money at that point. Don't forget to always reinvest the principal and keep all profits going into safe vehicles.. High quality boring dividend players, bonds, bonds, and more bonds.. I guess corporate bonds are where the cheddar has been lately, eh? God Bless, Oh, just thought of one thing... when you're old and grey and have the cash. Make sure you buy an atoll! Yeah! cause that would kick ass. Thanks for that idea!
