Rep. Allen West – Leadership We Can Believe In and Stand Behind In my last commentary, I emphasized the absolute necessity for American patriots to not idly accept the deceitful practices of the Republican party that have delivered us the likes of poorly qualified presidential candidates such as Bush-41, Bob Dole, Bush-43, and John McCain – not to mention many other non-presidential mistakes such as Lindsey Graham, Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, Mark Kirk, Dick Lugar, Lisa Murkowski, Orrin Hatch, and way too many others. Even in typing their names, I shudder with embarrassment and contempt and feel the need to cleanse myself. What I intentionally omitted in that commentary was to identify specific people who will fill not only the void of judgment and character in our current presidency, but who will also lead us in closing the ever-widening chasm between the direction of Obama & Co. and the exceptionalism of which America is capable. Not only must we terminate the freedom-stifling impact of Democratic Party (Socialist) regimes, but so too must we sever the influence of the people and processes that knowingly facilitate the careless, self-serving, and corrupt practices of the Republican establishment. There is no denying that the party needs candidates who commit to upholding the party principles rather than personal ambitions, but first, we must identify and overcome those broken practices that have prevented true leadership from existing and thriving. If we can agree on that principle, we should be ready to move forward in our commitment to restore our nation. There are numerous people who are fully capable of leading the restoration of America, but yet, who would also likely be overlooked due to the cancerous greed within the GOP. Knowing that, it is essential that we remain focused on our objectives, not the personal allegiances. Having a sound, increasing base of conservative leadership should be viewed as a blessing, not a need for internal one-upmanship. So who is it that is fully qualified to carry the banner of Lincoln and Reagan? One such outstanding leader is Representative Allen West (R, FL). I first featured West in ‘Right Bites’ on Nov. 20, 2009, shortly after he announced his candidacy for Congress. I remember thinking and saying to myself, “this guy’s too good to be true”. The good news is, he’s no longer a dream – he was elected to Congress in November and is now recognized as one of America’s leading conservatives. I urge you to set aside the time to view this 33-minute video – it’s worth every minute. I am certain you will smile, beam with excitement, pump your fists, shout aloud, and maybe even shed a tear or two. He’s for real, he’s ready, and we’re running out of time. We must be ready in 2012 and that means we must be engaged - now!................Rick Newton . Allen West gave the Keynote speech at the CPAC affair. Watch the flick thay made of it. patriotsforamerica.ning.com/video/allen-west-wraps-up-cpac?xg_source=activity

Here's one-- not sure if it is the whole thing, says 3.. CPAC: Rep. Allen West Keynote Speech (3) He is awesome, inspiring, exactly what we need. Really...you get this from his speeches...mmmmm , a lot were aimed at his constituents Krickett...said what he had to...this is not a safe Republican seat...heavy Jewish population, he got nice support from them..normally wouldn't go this way...he's going to go for the Senate I am sure...Very, Very supportive of Israel...no choice. How about watching him a while to see how he acts as a real calming, intelligent instigator of good policy for the country, also as important, if not more so, how he helps his constituents with their problems with the government, looks out for them , their needs. Many are seniors..needing benefits, SS, medicare. Is he going to support those needs? If not, costs, money, seems he is on the cut services end of things, constituents might not be happy with his representation. As a first term House Repreentative I look for more local interest then national and definitly international interest and time spent on. Possible you don't. Unless your just interested in the verbal..the shriller and louder the better. The representative who was shot in your State, I understand she was very into the needs and services of her constituents, helping, fighting for..she had a history that way. or am I wrong. Just had a thought, your thinking national office, now? He's a 1st term congressman.

Allen West unplugged: vows to bring left ‘to its knees’ (plus: West’s greatest hits) news.uk.msn.com/forum/thread.aspx?board=00000071-0328-0000-0000-000000000000&thread=43896cb9-b9fa-4cfc-85d4-28ab070d3c2d&page=1Allen West likening President Obama to Adolf Hitler, and telling a very tiny tea party crowd they need to take up arms to fight the federal government: “In 1930 there was a gentleman in Germany who took away private gun ownership, and you know what happened to that population.” Following his characterization of Hitler as a gentleman, West said, “You must be well-informed and well-armed because this government that we have now is a tyrannical government.” Allen West comparing the media to Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels, and saying the “mainstream media’s “is no longer reporting the news, they are propagandizing and I think that is another dangerous situation that we find developing in the United States of America… Goebbels is doing summersaults and back flips in his grave.” [videos available at website] ***** He can be 2012's Guiliani, but instead of "noun, verb, 9/11," West can be "noun, verb, Nazi." Once upon a time he may have been considered too fringy, but who knows nowadays?

Ed, You linked to a video with selective clips showing "liberls" saying terrible things.
I'm referring to the Thomas Clarence hearings where he whined being the victim of a "high tech lynching" because of the testimony (very credible, btw) of Anita Hill about his sexual harrassment.
For her testimony, she was savaged by the righties.
I watched the hearing at the time. I saw (and read) the awful things the far right did because someone actually had the guts to tell the truth.
Of course you don't know anything about that or you'd have never brought him up.

How do you know this was true? Because I was there. I watched the hearings on TV. I watched the interviews. And I read the newspapers. I was NOT getting my information second hand from someone with an agenda.

You were in the room when the alleged events occurred between Mr. Thomas and Ms. Hill? That's pretty impressive! I guess you do know the truth.
Or are you just saying you were alive when it happened and you watched it on TV like the rest of us?

These are two very different things. I posted that video to show some of the comments that were made by left wing protestors in regards to Clarence Thomas. If you have another video of those protestors saying something else, let's see it. You are saying you know "the truth" about Thomas' dealings with Anita Hill because you watched hearings on TV. Do you really see an equivalency there?

'your thinking national office, now? He's a 1st term congressman.'
Is it any worse than a 1st term senator that didn't bother showing up for votes? bho is a community organizer and is very good at spending someone else's money.

He does the same thing to me Krickitt, it isn't just you. I get PMs as well, the dude is weird... Actually there was one but then a reply and another..it would have been one, no dissing..actually a heads up of a possible problem you might have, possible not aware, you did, the problem, it was, delt with..you had a chance to take care of before it got to that..your call. ,... I would think as far a pm's , first one to some one , if no more wanted , then politly told , "please no more to me", then if more , ok a problem..way back when..got one of those..no problem , no more PM's to that individual. Naturally if they are harrasing , stalking..well guess what , cut //past send to a moderator....but to complain if one gets one...makes no sense to me. I luv PM's as long as not attacking..a disagreement on , politely stated ..of course..no problem, expect a reply. as said luv PM's

Savoir-- I know you must be kidding. Marsha first talked about him on the old boards. Here is his website from before the election. No, never heard of him. I suppose if the guy is the real deal he will be more widely known. I remember that he had some publicity for roughing up a terrorist detainee early on in the torture scandals, but the story is obvious there, Cheney/Bush/Army bad, the media ran with it. Now the story would have to be African-American republican, and that doesn't jibe with the "Old-White-Guy haters of diversity", story that the media likes. Remember when Ron Paul was the early money leader in the 2008 election, as far as donations? Don't worry, most people don't either. It seems that the media tries to hide and marginalize anything that would cause question of their portrayal of conservative thought. I suspect if West wanted to run for Potus, he wouldn't get the time of day from the media, and nobody votes for the guy they haven't heard about.
