Well, One of my customers that I had taken under my wing several years ago, had become close friend with my wife and me, helped her build her business. Last night her old time boyfriend that has recently reappeared, fired me! This does not make me unhappy. Big mistake on his part. I was giving them a piece of equipment worth $6000, I was going to charge for the install. Some how it was misinterpreted as we were going to install this equipment this weekend, They prepared for it, I didn't!
I was not planning on it.
Little bit about the install, the equipment weighs 4000#, we have to put it over a wall and thru a large window after we remove the old equipment.
The boyfriend seemed to think it magically flew into place. When I said it is not going to happen this weekend , the boyfriend told me never to come to that business ever again, my comment,,, Cool, hung up!
That said, My general contractor and I went yesterday to check out a new project,
We will give a bid in the next week, if we get it , it will be the biggest project I have ever done!
Some folks just don't get it...good luck on the new project..make a $ killing,,

In the past month & 1/2 we have: Replaced a main king header (the main beam over a door frame)
replaced all the framing (2x4s?) connected to the king header (on 2 floors)
reattached floor joists that had come unattached to the king header replaced all the siding along the back of the house (on 2 floors)
replaced all the siding on the fireplace
replaced all the siding on the dormers replaced 9 windows/reframed 7 more (thank god we didn't have to take the 7 windows out completely to reframe them) removed & reset the back door leading to the deck (new screen door also) bought a new fridge
had the stove die out of jealousy for a new fridge, bought a new stove
Roof repairs start today Painting prep begins tomorrow, I just have to pick my pink
To be done after Thanksgiving: finish inside framing of new windows I CAN SEE THE FINISH LINE!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOVE the color, steff! Just be warned, shades of pink look darker on the wall, than on the sample. (When my Mom was still in her house, she had me paint one of her rooms pink. The shade she loved, while it looked good on the paint sample, did look a lot darker on her wall...)

The painter already contacted me this morning to say that shade goes on a lot darker than it looks & suggested I go to the Lighthearted pink above it. I trust him & went ahead & changed it to the lighter pink.

steff, that color you chose, it kind of matches your nail polish. Or is that just the lighting in the photo? I do like it!

To Whom It May Concern: I'm happy if you bring your children to church. BUT, you must teach them not to be having conversations during the church service. I'm here to listen to the sermon, not your children talking. Plus, if they're old enough to go to school, they're old enough to be quiet, or at least whisper. Please, take the time to train your kids. Love, Busymom

Dear UPS and FedEx drivers,
Is it that hard to read a house number correctly and deliver the package to the corresponding porch? This is three for three on delivering my packages to my neighbor in the last week.
Signed, Looking for her packages
I don't know why suddenly they can't deliver my packages to my porch. I've had zero issues in two years. Now they can't deliver it to my porch to save their life.

A warning to you all: I am about to go ballistic. Thank you. Dear Florida Sports Commission flunkies, You suck used pedal pins. You all ought to be wrapped collectively in a long, greasy bike chain and clonked on your noggins with cranksets. You moved the cycling from a safe, closed-to-traffic park to a park in a slum, with insufficient police to stop traffic (I nearly met my end at the front of a city bus, with a bike rack on it no less!) and then you cancelled one of the races "for safety reasons"? The streets were in a residential area, so people living there were trapped inside and deliveries that needed to be made could not go through. Well done. You pissed off residents, cyclists and what few cops who did show up who likely had better things to do than babysit intersections. And you really owe the people who traveled a long way to this event (I'm not one of them, but I met a few people from out of state and points five to 6 hours north) an apology for taking their money and deciding not to play the game.
Shame on you. This is not how you look good on the state and national stage for the games. People remember screw ups and go spend their money elsewhere.

Y'all please keep my friend Eddie in your thoughts. His divorce from his financially cheating wife became final just a few months ago. She had physical custody of their three kids and was just starting (on judge's orders) to work part time after years of insane spending that included burning through a six-figure inheritance. I saw Eddie at the meet today. XW had a massive heart attack a few weeks ago. She's a type 1 (juvenile) diabetic, morbidly obese and he is now mom and dad and full-time source of family income until she recovers. I told him to call me any time, no matter what he needed. Fortunately his parents and her mother are nearby. Just when things were slowly starting to get normal for him....

Dear Mom, I sorted through some jewelry that I haven't worn for years, and offered it to my niece, your granddaughter, when we were all out to dinner last night. I mentioned that Aunt N, your late sister, had given me some of those items. You immediately went into full hoarder mode, asking if I took those things from Aunt N's apartment after she passed away, and you were supposed to inherit EVERYTHING. No, Mom, those were Christmas and birthday gifts over the years. They were mine to give away.
Why do you want more? All the jewelry you inherited from her sits in a big jewelry chest, or is in a pile of stuff in some random corner of the house. This is one of the reasons I am purging things. So I don't wind up like you, in an unlivable house full of just STUFF. Signed,

Add me to the list of people who doesn't want my house to end up like my parents. My Mom has crap everywhere. She needs to be moving to something smaller, without steps but I think it is just overwhelming to her to think about. Well that and that fact that Mom is all about the image and downsizing doesn't fit with her thought of how her life should be.

They bought a new house that they did a lot of fixing up. What they did after everything was done. They moved the stuff she had to have into the new house. They still had their old house full of junk. She spend almost a year cleaning things out. Their daughter and SO are living there now. The issue now is. They need to sell the old house so they don't end up paying high taxes when they sell. Just one viewing. He knows DD cannot get a loan for it on her income.
So the short of it. Move her into a smaller place then clean out.

I mean, if she does not wear what she has, and may not even know where it is, why on earth would she want or need more?
I am so glad to be at the give away stage in life, rather that the acquisition stage.

My mom thought her collection of bells and whatever other trinkets she had were worthy of an auction. 95% is going to the burn pile.

Actually lavender can be too heavy for me. I normally use unscented products. But peppermint can calm my nausea sometimes. Thank you for the get better wishes. ((((hug back))))

When I was in the hospital, they used peppermint for my nausea.
Along with alcohol swabs.
