With safety scissors and then eating the little pieces. It just doesn't seem right, bit I can't think of a really good reason why she can't.

I just seems like one of those things that I shouldn't let my kids do, but I have no idea why.

Is she standing in front of the refrigerator with the door open while she does it? Is she standing in the yard in her socks while she does it? Did she turn on all the lights in every room in the house before doing it? If the answer is no to the three questions listed above, then she is not committing any of the mortal sins of childhood.

No, she took the cheese out of the fridge, took it out the slice, resealed the package, and put it back in the fridge.

Give her kitchen shears and tell her she's now on her way to being a chef!

As long as the scissors weren't previously used to trim nose hairs, it's all good.

OMG! How has my DD not thought of that yet? She loves using scissors and she loves cheese. Seems like it would be one of those face palm situations. Scissors and cheese go together naturally, like Fluff and peanut butter...like Bert and Ernie...like St. Patrick's Day and green beer...like...oh, you get the idea.

(Unless she's grumbling about how no one ever feeds her and she's going to have to learn how to cut cheese on her own if she is to survive.) I hope you got some pictures, or even better yet, some video.

I think as long as she doesn't run with the cheesy scissors, all is well.

I think the problem is that you are feeding your kids that bendy processed cheese.
If you were feeding them real cheese, cut from a brick, there wouldn't be any of this deviant scissoring activity . . .

When my kids ask for cheese, we follow up with "block or stick?" But they do chow down on the sliced stuff at my Mom's. Mine only eat orange cheese.

Mine want "yellow and white" cheese. DH was nice enough to bring home deli slices of colby jack so now they're too good for the kraft singles. (anyone have a recipe that calls for an almost full package of american cheese?)

Beer try making mac& cheese with it. The slices melt really nice.
Gwen likes to pick up things with her toes and eat them. I feel like I should stop her but what harm is it really doing?
It's pretty impressive, I wish I could use my toes like a second set of hands.

(anyone have a recipe that calls for an almost full package of american cheese?) Don't worry about it. They will have switched back to liking the kraft singles long before they go bad. Those things will outlast us I think.

But is the kid going to actually EAT all of that? And how old are we talking about?
My older sister gave Cabe a dinosaur sandwich cutter thing for Christmas. I've used it a few times and the kids will scarf down twice as much pb&j when I make dinosaurs as opposed to 1/2s or 1/4s. They're losing a bit of crust but not really any bread either.

This is the best lunch ever. Why aren't I this good of a mom? Because neither is she except when she's planning to post the picture on facebook/pinterest in an effort to make everyone else feel inadequate. And let's lay odds on whether that broccoli is going to get eaten. I say they're pretty slim.

I'm totally going to make sandwiches this weekend and cut them like that, and put eyes on them. My son will crack up.
