My favorite shirt to wear with jeans is one I bought at Marshall's- not sure what year but I have a picture of myself in it with DS when DS was about 3; he's now 28. It's got bright multicolored stripes and it's pretty and cheerful. I'm gonna feel bad when it's too worn to wear but I think it's got some good years left on it.

My grandmother has a pressure cooker that she bought back in the 60's. She had registered it when she bought it, and has not moved since then. She got a phone call last year from the company asking if she still had it, and if so could they buy it back to put in their museum. She told them she would leave it to them in her will, lol.
That thing used to scare the crap out of me, whistling and rattling away on the stove. But it still makes the best collard greens I have ever tasted.

I like to keep things until they no longer work also. I made a comment to my son last year about when my old TV quits working I was going to buy a flat screen. On my birthday my kids walked into my house with a flat screen. Now I have a huge TV sitting in my bedroom taking up space. I was talking to my daughter last night because my washer has been acting up. It quits working before the spin cycle and I just go push on the lid and it starts again. She said they could buy me a new one since I have had that one for so long. I told her no because I love it and I will have it repaired if I need to. When they came to visit me at Christmas they noticed that you can barely see the clock display on my microwave. So now they are saying it is on its last leg and when they come for my birthday they are bringing me a new one. So then I will have a microwave sitting in my bedroom next to the TV. I need to stop making casual conversation about my appliances. Of course, I am glad that they want to give me nice things.
