Waldorf is very nature based, very practical skill oriented. Lots of outdoor play, exploration, nature journaling...

That doesn't sound like them either. This is a school for music and dance, which happens to have a great curriculum and education program. I actually think the quality of their arts is deteriorating because of the quality of their education. But, I know that if you are failing a regular class, you are still pressured to put in extra time in your chosen art choice too. So, I think it can be a pressure cooker.

My daughter got straight A's on her report card, so we only have 1 more from this school.
In 5th grade this new school doesn't do grades - it goes back to meets expectations, progressing and does not meet expectations. Another mother says it relieves some of the stress. I think it is so they don't have to answer up to us helicopter parents with high expectations.
