The floating top only allows for navigation within the current thread. The home button and Alt+d requires the cumbersome effort of removing my hand from the mouse or using my left hand. I know, I know, patience.
Oh cheez whiz.

No rush on this request. Being retired, I have zero concept of date or time. Can we get a date and time (local, please, please, please?) on the upper right hand corner
Thanks.

I do not know if this has been addressed yet, but can we get the "newest post" option back on the threads? Right now, all I can do is click on ther last page, and hope, I am near the last post I read the last time I was here. On active threads, I might be off a page or so, and have to waste time backtracking pages finding where I last left off.

I love the concept of the "New Participated" button, but mine doesn't seem to work. I'll just keep pushing it - like the staples button that you push and it says "That was easy" and then you realize that nothing happened.

Thanks for quoting me arch - now I know on explorer, the notifications don't blink for me either - just a little bubble with a number in it.

IE apparently has some kind of issue where you have to force it not to load the pages in 'compatibility mode'. See the 'Has anyone noticed...' thread for details.

It is pretty much non-readable on IE at work. It's just all blue links. Everything is all garbled up. What a mess. Guess I won't be on at work anymore...

Only at work - it is mandatory, not allowed to download other browsers, and I have 6 internet based programs that I have been told are only supported on explorer (although I suspect that is baloney.)

Okay I'll click on mine in Notifications and see if they are any better than what I remembered.

I'm having a similar experience with Firefox right now. I don't want to use IE at work because I cannot delete the browsing history (not that there aren't other ways to be tracked, but you know).
I'm hoping this is just a function of the port still being in progress, and/or a setting I've missed. I'll have to tinker and see.

I'm on two browsers at the moment and what I'm posting is on IE9. So lets see how this comes out.

I've tried it on IE8, Chrome and downloaded Firefox to see if it'd work. No such luck.

I have that same issue with IE on my main work computer. Is there anyway you can use Google Chrome or another browser or are you stuck like I am? Fortunately for me, I was able to load Chrome on my second desktop and can see everything just fine (except for the lack of privacy or rather lack of ability to hide that I'm goofing off and not working).

I updated Firefox, and the board is still showing the white bg, blue links, and everything on its own line. I also cannot seem to get into my PMs, even when I click the link. It just doesn't go, unless I'm not looking at it correctly. I'm sure this will be resolved in time.

Found something I like. Just realized that I can hover my mouse over "Home to MSN Refugees" just under the Home button and it gives me drop downs to find the board I want. No more scrolling down the page to get to YM. Of course I'm sure that ability was mentioned somewhere that I didn't read.

I don't know where I should post this so Moon move it if you need to. Some have had success with this. it's in your Browsers Tools.
I had some of these issues this morning, with the page numbers not floating with the screen, participated button not working and the gears missing on the right side of posts. I figured out my "compatibility view" was running. Once I went into the Tools menu and unchecked "compatibility view" everything started working for me.

WWBG, if you have the long list of links, you have to scroll way down to the bottom of the page after you click on something. That's where I'm posting from. It looks like crap but I can post. :/

Logging in for me was a breeze, although I am having one problem. The boards at the top shows messages with a "1" which, I would presume means 1 unread message....but I don't have any unread private messages... ETA: Nevermind - I just deleted a whole bunch of them...and the '1' went away...but all of the ones I deleted were previously read...

Yes, thats what I'm dealing with. It looks how pages look when the stylesheet fails to load and everything defaults to basic html.
...:::"everything works fine for me. I use firefox. it was seamless, i just logged on using my old name and password.":::...
I did nothing different than I normally do. Although I still had to "upgrade" my account. I know I did this back when moonbeam first posted about creating a global. On the beta board everything worked fine. It said I was participating. I checked yesterday.
I'm sure in time it will be resolved.
