Got any? Want any? If so, what and where?
What do you think of them on others?

I have two; a coiled dragon on my left deltoid, and a phoenix on the right.

Two for me. One is a "tramp stamp" I designed for myself, not sure how to describe it but it's not quite tribal, not quite celtic, just a little curly and a little spike-y... The other is a small dragonfly on my hip. I don't care for them on the face and don't care for full sleeves much either, but I don't mind them on others for the most part. My ex-bf had 7 or 8.

Most people that know me are shocked that I have a couple! I want one more--a band of small elephants around my ankle. I want to be able to spell DS's "short" name hidden within it, the trunks would probably be easy to put the letters in.

I don't have any tattoos and don't want any. I'm too fickle, and can't imagine a picture/image/symbol that I would still be happy with 30 years from now. Plus I'm pain averse so voluntarily getting poked with a needle over and over again just is not something I would do. I admit Im not a fan of full sleeves or gigantic tattos covering large portions of the body, but small tasteful and meaningful tattoos for the person who has them doesn't bother me at all. That's me to a T. I just can't imagine myself all wrinkly and saggy with my hot tats... Don't have anything against anyone who has them, but unless I go through a crazy mid-life crisis, I will never have one.

When I'm that old and wrinkly my skin will look bad period. A tatoo won't make a big differance.

I have quite a few. I've got a battleship on my chest, and anchor on my arm, a heart with "mom" on the other arm, a few of my ex's names on my keester (all crossed out of course), and those are just the ones that I'm comfortable telling you about.

When I told my parents I was joining the Navy, my mom was horrified that I was going to turn into a salty old sea dog with a nakid dancing lady on my forearm...

I got the dragon for my 45th birthday, the phoenix for my 46th. I want at least one more, don't know what or where yet.

Jiminy Cricket playing a violin on my left arm and a rose with a butterfly on my right leg. I guess by the time my skin gets all wrinkly and crepe-y, I'll be too old and dotty to care ;D but for now if there's anybody who's offended by my tattoos just because I'm old, that's tuff.
I got the butterfly and rose when we bought the bike and Jiminy Cricket a couple of months later but was much younger back then. I was only 67.
Yes, I have an aversion to pain, but it really wasn't all that bad.
Best aunt got a tattoo for her 78th birthday. She liked it so much that she got another one for her 80th!

Mine wasn't bad either, more of an irritation than painful. The pain factor really depends on location.

I don't have any and I'm quite proud to say that Later picked my suggestion of tattoo. I may get that one too - if I ever decide to do that. Which I doubt I will. I hate pain of any kind.

Best aunt is going to be 86 next month...I wonder if she'll get another one? ;D I don't like tattoos on anybody on the face or neck. Ew. Likewise tattoos on the inside of the arm. It had to have been beyond painful! One of my GDs got one as soon as she turned 18...extending from shoulder to shoulder with her mother's full name in script and birth/death dates underneath. She's going to be 20 next month and has been sorry she did it since her senior prom, which was about six weeks after she got it. Nobody much noticed her gorgeous prom gown, but they sure as hell noticed her outrageous tattoo. Not exactly dainty. IG, as a matter of fact, I am kinda fun

My tattoo artist gave his son a tattoo for his 13th birthday, a little gekko on his foot. I can just imagine how much that kid had at school!

I understand that being tattooed doesn't hurt at all if you have a couple or three drinks first

My artist (Kenji) refused to tattoo the inebriated. He also refused to do any facial or neck tatts, or "hate" tatts. I wish he was still in the area, I had a good relationship with him.

I thought they wouldn't tattoo people who had been drinking because they would bleed more... and possibly wake up with a tattoo they didn't remember getting! "What's mine say? Dude! What's mine say? Sweet! ... What's mine say? Duuude! What's mine say? SWEEET! ..."

Want any? If so, what and where? Tattoo. I would LOVE a tattoo!!!! Heck I'd pay $1,000 for a tattoo. I'd like a tattoo of a horses butt. I'm thinking the best place for it is the right cheek. My only problem is that I can't get the wife drunk enough to let me take her to a tattoo parlor.

IG--I elephants (and dragonflies!) I want the elephants to be kind of tribal, but not sure exactly how. I should take my idea to my tattoo artist next time I go to the coast (he was recommended by my ex-bf before he became my bf). Mine won't do anyone who's been drinking and he won't do feet. A lot of his work is freehand for custom tattoos and he really does a great job. I'm not sure if I'll do all the elephants black or if I'll make one dark red (or some other color). It may be a while before I can do it though.

I second the thought that Miss R is very cool! There was a story in the local paper about a lady getting her first tattoo, on her 100th birthday She'd always wanted a little bird on each leg. She only got one at that time (that part was a little sad, she thought she was getting both of them so she was a little disappointed). I wonder if she ever got to go back and get the other one...

That's a difference of TWO YEARS! That's not like a couple of months or so... Are you still with the GF that you cheated on with tattoo girl? So THAT's why you spoil her!

oh! yea - during the affair I treated GF like a FN queen and gave her just about every Fn thing to keep her happy! tried to break up with GF once ..maybe twice. she didn't want that.
not so sure how long the affair was cause it's been 7 years ago since I've done anything! after the affair I see how much I spoiled GF and how it's just my personality of being so FN nice!
