what about making up your own lyrics?? i used to work in a restaurant. The owner used to sing that song "Drift Away" as (and I apologize in advance): "Sit on my meat girl and free my load, I wanna get lost in your sloppy hole and drift away" The other owner's daughter, who was 5 at the time, thought that song was "they paved paradise and put up a F*%& lot" Just earlier tonight, I thought a commercial for the Goddard School had the kids singing about growing a nude beach. I hope I was wrong.

When I was a little kid, I thought the "Bringing In The Sheaves" hymn was "Bringing In The Cheese". It made perfect sense to me; I had seen some old movie where an Italian village was throwing a huge celebration when they had finished making the yearly wine. I had utterly no idea what a sheave was, and thought cheese making was something like wine making, so people would celebrate when the task was completed.
Bringing in the cheese, bringing in the cheese We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the cheese!
BTW - My mother, a German native, thought it was "Bringing In The Sheep".
To this day, my father will bust a gut laughing every time he hears that song.

If you like parody tunes, try www.bobrivers.com and click on Twisted Tunes. One of my favorites is "Clean The Catbox" to the tune of "Rock The Casbah" by The Clash.

Elton John lives in Atlanta and would show up at the alt rock station once or twice a year. One time he brought a keyboard & ended up singing some of the misunderstood lyrics for his songs. My favorite was Tiny Dancer...somebody thought he was singing Hold my pants and tie me down sir
