A rarity here in mid-July come Tuesday - early October temps. Sunny and high in the mid-80s and night-time temps in the low 60s. The above weather was the last time those temps were that low. Daytime temps have been in the 90s every day since then but for two high 80s days at the beginning of this week. September to go down as the hottest September on record here in SW Tennessee. Temps in the mid-90s at least until next Friday. Future forecasts beyond that not available. No rain here since mid-July too. We have been without rain for longer than you down here in SW Ga.! And what was predicted the other day never made it here....while ya'al got a good soaking up there. We are in the lower 80's so far today...sunny & no precip in the extended forecast either.

We received a good two plus inches of rain Sunday night/early Monday morning. We are expecting thunderstorms Friday/Friday night. Good chance of rain again. Maybe this rain will reach you. Low of 40 degrees I think after the rain Saturday morning. Warms up over the next couple of days.

Nope, not supposed to get here AGAIN. Two days ago it was in our long range forecast...it's gone now.

Waiting for extreme winter weather. Up to 1 foot of snow and blowing coming to the Dakotas. Two winter weather events are meeting from the south meeting the cold from Canada.

They have predicted snow here, as well. But not the big storm they were originally saying it would be. Thank goodness.
This is the 3rd time they have predicted a large snowstorm this year. So far, we've only had snow in the mountains. Just the way I like it!
I haven't been outside yet, but it looks like a decent day. Overcast, but no rain or snow and not windy.
I'm not looking forward to snow. ❄⛄ Or even a lot of rain. ⚡💧☔
Today is good.

We don't see our 'winter' weather until about Christmas time. And more than likely it's a minor ice storm.
But I have worn shorts on Christmas day when I went to a friend's home for Christmas day. New Years day too.

Up to 3 feet of snow in some places. The first snow is scary because people forget how to drive. They suddenly realize they should have put snow tires on.

We did get a lot of snow. Knee deep in our front yard. Some from the blowing. In parts of the state, the wind is 55 mph. The interstate highway is closed. The highway in the NE part of the state is closed because of no services. To the West - nothing.

I suppose it's good today is Friday. The state can clean up the mess over the weekend. Hopefully you have no need to travel outside over the next few days.

It's supposed to get 31 tonight, we didn't think so but I just looked at the weather station and its 38 out now so just may make it.
Your cold weather out west is blowing in. I turned the furnace on 72 last night, doubt it ran, but its cooling down now, so put it at 75. Had the AC on today.

The eastern side of the state from the north border to the south border is still closed. Also west to the middle of the state. A 3-day drizzler except it's snow. ETA: A lot of farmers did not get their crops in because it rained for nearly 2 weeks before this storm. A tragedy for them.

We get down around 30º every night. But thankfully, it warms up during the day. Right now it is 66º. The air is chilly (some days it's down right cold), but at least winter hasn't struck yet. Artemis WindsongHoly Moly! You've had snow in your yard, knee deep already?! That's crazy! Do you live at the top of the Swiss Alps, or something? Brrr... Stay warm! And be safe, if you go out.

My mom was born in Bismark, raised in Jamestown, and educated at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. She could not get out of there fast enoughad after graduating college due to the cold. Mom ended up in Okinawa at the end of WWII where she met my dad who was with the occupying U.S. army. They married in N.D. and lived in Massachusetts where it was slightly warmer and a more varied terrain. I still remember visiting my grandmother in N.D.as a kid, walking through farmland fields, and warned to look out for 'meadow muffins' (cow droppings).

Pouring rain here , has been all night and will be all day. Leaving such a beautiful climate in Italy , it’s painful. Great to be home but I need to do stuff and drowning isn’t on my list.

My $196.37 large cup of McDonalds black coffee today.
Awakened about 0545 this morning by the sound of an exploding electrical transformer. Power to the neighborhood goes out. As it had not rained yet, we were expecting thunderstorms this morning. So I checked to see what was going on on my cell phone and see there is a tornado watch until 0900. Radar showed severe thunderstorms soon to cross the Mississippi river into west Tennessee.
About 25 minutes after the power went out, the tornado sirens begin wailing for the next forty or so minutes. No touch down.
Around 1100, and power was still out, I really did need a large cup of caffeinated coffee. So I got dressed and exited the front door. I locked the front door. I locked it too damn hard. I knew right then and there I was in trouble. I could turn the key in the lock all the way to the left and also all the way to the right. The bolt would not move.
So I went to McDonalds and got my coffee. Had to enter the house through the backyard gate and then backyard door to the house. Came into the house to find the power was back on. I was gone for less than 10 minutes.
I called a locksmith and they arrived about 20 minutes later. The front door lock was not repairable. So I needed a new lock, needed it installed, and needed the lock to match the current house key.
Total cost of locksmith's services: $196.37
Had I waited just ten minutes before I left for McDonalds, the power would have come on while I was here and I could have made my own coffee for free.

I take it back. Local news just stated an EF 1 tornado did touch down here in Memphis and did some damage. No injuries.

How do you lock a door too damn hard? I understand it couldn't be repaired, so had to be replaced. Which sucks. I don't understand how ir happened.

Once outside, I put the key in the bolt lock and turned it so far to the left, so quickly, it broke. Somehow how the 'shaft' which drive the bolt into and out of the strike plate hole became disconected? So if I turn the key left or right, the bolt doesn't move and the turning is very loose.

It's definitely Fall here. Gusts of wind over 63 kms on this beautiful sunny day. I wonder how many new trees will be down the next time I'm in the bush with the dogs?

This is the beginning of the fall season and the snow birds are starting to fly back.
Phoenix area will be near perfect from now until about May 1. The sky is clear, humidity in the teens, and the present temp is 79. Beautiful and perfect day.

It looks nice here, but it is really cold outside. They are predicting another storm tomorrow.
Although I wish it was closer to my apt, I'm really glad I have a garage to park in.
I hope everyone has a good day!
