Well, storm from hell blew thru real early this morning but since 4am weather has been absolutely stunning!! We have gotten so much rain over the past few months the grass in some areas of my lawn is growing almost an inch a day. And because it seems to rain almost every day, the lawn is too wet to mow. I need cows to keep the lawn trimmed.

" Moisture levels above 20 percent allow the respiration process to continue and mould to develop, producing heat. ... Wet hay bales also produce internal heat that may result in spontaneous combustion."

Back to cows then. And goats! Lots of goats in pajamas.

Oh, goats are good and goats in pajamas are really cute, so you should go for that solution

We have been in the 80's the last 2 days & sunny. About the same for the couple of days except with rain on Fri....then more 80's or 90's....spring was short, summer is coming on down here.
Tenn...goats would do a better job of clearing out your lawn & not leave such a big mess (poop) nor deep holes from their hooves either...that cows would leave.

Tenn...goats would do a better job of clearing out your lawn & not leave such a big mess (poop) nor deep holes from their hooves either...that cows would leave. FYI : Goats are not always pleasant. I used to live next door to one. It was MEAN. It got out of the neighbors yard frequently and came over to ours. When you tried to go in, or out of the house it would chase you and bite you. It pooped on our porch.... a LOT. My friend's wife got stuck in her car, in her garage for 3-4 hrs once, when the neighbors goats followed her car in through the open door, then wouldn't leave. My friend has pictures of the goats standing on the roof of his truck and on the hood of his truck. Personally, I'm not fond of goats. They tend to be aggressive and I've never seen them do a good job at keeping the grass down. But they'll eat your flowers and bushes!

On May Day, we got snow again! Ugh I turned my heat back on.
It's supposed to get better for a few days- up to 70º on Saturday. Then more storms and cold weather next week.
At least the weather is supposed to be good on Saturday. I sure hope so!

Woke up to a temp of 78 degrees this morning. Should be about 67 degrees. Muggy meeter says we will feel like it is 95 degrees this afternoon. The skeeter meter is also high. The Love Bugs are as bad as the worst year in recent memory....... Floridia in May........

"What's your weather?" Not good yet. But at least I'm not melting and don't have a major influx of bugs! -YIKES!
I did give my apt a major spray of Ortho Home Defense (lasts 12 months & works well) last week, after seeing s spider and having to pound on neighbor's doors to find someone to help me. Previously, I have only used it in my garage, but since it works well there, I went for it in my apt.
How do you treat for bugs that fly? Does anyone know?

It got in the 80's yesterday so turned the AC on, I need to turn it off again, won't need it for the next week for sure, after that who knows. We will need the heat at night to get in the 40's. Supposed to rain today, look like its going to pour, 87% humidity out right now. I don't think I will get to plant this weekend. Farmers are running around trying to ditch, well they destroyed all the ditches farming right to the roads so now no place to drain water in a lot of the fields. I guess south of us on the sand they tried planting some. We see the migrants coming in to plant watermelons, not sure when that will happen.
I need to weed out there.

Just watched the news. So far, this is the 3rd wettest year on record, and we still have through Sept to go! They said there is no longer concern of drought. → bwahaha... Really?!

The month of May we have had maybe 3 sunny, warm days. Rain. It finally moved north to help those farmers.

We finally reached 90 degrees yesterday, for the first time this year.
@x Yikes! That's a lot of rain! I couldn't deal with your humidity. It sounds awful. But maybe I'd have great skin! haha

My childhood home in western Massachusetts, built for our family in 1951, did not have a/c. Bedrooms on the second floor. No open bedroom windows with fans set in them could lessen the hot humid nights of summer. Funny how the parents bad a window a/c in their bedroom but we kids did not. CHILD ABUSE!

A rarity here in mid-July come Tuesday - early October temps. Sunny and high in the mid-80s and night-time temps in the low 60s.

Tenn- Your weather sounds wonderful!
People were snow skiing in Utah on July 4th this year! Snow skiing in the mountains and water skiing at the lakes. Both on the same day. That's crazy!
We're in the 100's or high 90's during the day now and around 80 at night. It's definitely warm.
Nope. No global warming going on here. 🙄

Weather has been fabulous here, for the last week or so. (mid 70's) They are saying that's all going to change tonight. -Bummer!
We have already had snow in the mountains this year.
I'm not ready for snow! ☹

A rarity here in mid-July come Tuesday - early October temps. Sunny and high in the mid-80s and night-time temps in the low 60s. The above weather was the last time those temps were that low. Daytime temps have been in the 90s every day since then but for two high 80s days at the beginning of this week. September to go down as the hottest September on record here in SW Tennessee. Temps in the mid-90s at least until next Friday. Future forecasts beyond that not available. No rain here since mid-July too.
