DH is afraid to watch any tv. He says he's cursed. Everytime he gets into a show, they cancel it.
I'm going to miss Damages. God, I love that show.

USA's shows are always really, really good. I watch almost all of them (Royal Pains, Suits, Psych, Necessary Roughness, White Collar and Monk while it was still on), but I actually stopped watching Fairly Legal after the first two or three episodes this season - it just isn't as good as the first season. Mid - Franklin and Bash came back Tuesday night, so you are behind!

I already miss Desperate Housewives on Sundays. It was the best finale I've ever seen. I record Mad Men, and watch the following weekend. I love that show. I still haven't seen the last episode of House, but I have it recorded.

I still haven't seen the last episode of House, but I have it recorded. I thought it sucked, but that was just me. I really, really loved House for the first few seasons, and the season finale with Amber's death was one of the best shows I have ever seen. But after that, I got bored with the "oh what's wrong with you. it's nothing. no, it's auto-immune, definitely lupus. nope, it's a brain tumor. oh, someone said something normal to me and I had a terrific thought that it must be leprosy, and i cured you! haha." ;D

I didn't think the House finale was all that great.
ETA: And I agree about the show with Amber was one of the best shows on TV period.

I'm still mad they cancelled Eureka! Damn Comcast! I'm still mad that the cancelled Stargate SG-1 so they could put more money into Eureka! . I'm really really still mad that they cancelled Firefly. I LOVED that show. Stargate SG-1 and Firefly are probably my top 2 shows of all time. I was even starting to enjoy Stargate:Universe when they cancelled it. I need more Stargate!! My wife doesn't agree with this sentiment... ;D

Nielsen ratings are crap
Do they really think that 18-49 yr olds are the big consumers?
Harry's Law was well written, superbly acted, and always entertaining
The cast was really coming into their own....what a shame
Reality shows seem to be cheap....and draw ratings.....and that is the death of good drama shows, which production costs are high
Next thing you know, they will cancel Person of Interest (my favorite new show)
TV executives are dumber than a box of rocks

They are! They should realize that the boomers are the people with disposable income and make more shows geared towards their demographic.

Stargate Universe was pretty good. I never got into the earlier ones, but that one hooked both of us.

Damn it again! DH and I were a Nielsen household earlier this year... I lobbied heavily for the cancellation of Whitney, but they just moved it to another night.

I still haven't seen the last episode of House, but I have it recorded. The lady that died in the finale actually died of cancer last week. She had been battling cancer for years apparently.

For those of you who liked the Stargates- have you watched Falling Skies? It's Agiledad's new favorite show.

Some episodes are great and then some are just piss-poor. I am curious to watch it when it returns on the 17th to see how they do with the 2nd season.

I think he's just overjoyed that there is a sci-fi series out there that appeals to his geekiness. There hasn't been one for a while, other than Eureka which is not on the same level of sci-fi.

Archie - Franklin & Bash is coming back in a week or two. Came back on this week after the premiere of Rizzoli & Isles (which I forgot to list as a favorite). It was the first time I watched it and while it was humorous, I found it a bit to sophmoric for me.

Please tell me you don't like Parks and Recreation... I love Amy Poehler, but could not get into Parks and Recreation. Maybe I didn't give it a fair shot. Only watched a couple of shows......

I thought SG was OK (DH loved that show) but we both really, really liked Firefly. Both the show and the movie.

I LOVED that show. They didn't cancel Stargate to put more money into Eureka. They are made in two totally different studios in different countries. SG-1 may have been pushed to end so Atlantis could have more moeny but Eureka had nothing to do with it. Joe Mallozi who was a writer/producer on both Stargates used to blog about them. From what I remember about it at the time the shows creaters ended it because they felt they couldn't come up with new material anymore. He said every idea they came up with someone would name the episode that they had already done it on. And 11 seasons isn't exactly too shabby for a TV series. ;D I did like Stargate at the time it was on though. I never got into Firefly for some reason. That one was on Fox wasn't it?

There was a joke put into one of the episodes of the last season of SG-1 about Stargate being pushed aside for Eureka! That's all I was basing it on. Yeah, I actually never discovered Firefly until the then SciFi chanel starting to run it.
