EFCO, you do realize that Arch posted the very same thing yesterday. No problem though, I love Pink Floyd No. I didn't read the thread. Pink Floyd rocks.

I saw this thread after reading about the Florida mom who killed her 2 kids. Wow. My first thought as they led her away was low fat diet strikes again.
Mom wasn't ever affectionate with any of us that I can recall. Remember that psych study about cuddlers and snugglers? Mom was never a cuddler and I was definitely a snuggler-not a good match. I can still recall her holding her baby grandson with this baffled look on her face-he wanted a cuddle/kiss and she couldn't figure it out. It was always other adults that would cuddle me because I was after all an adorable child LOL. Then I became a wretched teenager. Clashed with my Dad all the time, but teen years with Mom were pretty easy because she didn't really care what we did as long as it was legal and not embarassing to them as parents. I don't think I had the correct perspective at the time though, because I didn't understand what it was to work fulltime keep house and take care of 3 kids during the traditional years where women also took care of the husband. She was pretty sane for having all of that on her plate. It might explain why in her retirement she has become more like a teenager :-)
