Just tie a thread on the finger to signify a wedding...simple and cheap. A thread? Are you crazy? She'll still be mad at me about the ring I already lost when the thread breaks and then I'll be down two rings. I'm really digging the tattoo idea, that way I won't have to go through this again. I'll even work her initials into it or something, so if we do end up divorced later she'll get the satisfaction of knowing I'll have to explain that forever.

But you'll have to remove those costly tattoos upon divorce. Eh... it's just a ring finger. Might be cheaper to cut it off. Yakuza style.

Heh, people in India do tie threads around the wrist for a special occasion. It's called raksha bandhan. Wear a gold thread one day on the finger...silver the next....black when depressed....red when in the mood for love...

Oh noez....that may come out to be more expensive Only if you're a wimp and get medical attention after you do it. Real men cut it off themselves, then get a buddy to burn the stump with a hot poker or something. It's practically free. Except for that whole losing a finger part.

It's not like I lost it on purpose! Dang women... *grumble grumble grumble* Don't I get any credit for not losing it for over a decade? That's not bad right? Longer than most marriages last. A smidge. I'm actually getting more and more on the tattoo idea.. I could easily cover it with a wedding band from marriage #2. We all know you'd lose whatever ring you get in your second marriage, so you'd have a constant reminder of how much you suck. Sold!

My earlier rule stands though. It'll be my only tattoo so it's gotta be something manly. Like a snake biting it's own tail, with a dagger or a skull thrown in somehow. Or a heart that says mom, but that seems weird in a wedding band tattoo...

One of the OC Real Housewives got a plastic surgeon to cut off the skin with her ex husband's name on it. She tried lasering but it didn't work. And that is an awesome story loop! Dark is an idiot but you already knew that

I'll get you one... but the male ring seems a little uh... not my style. And kind of feminine.
You can get that, and I'll get a plain silver band without the inlay or stones. but with the same basic shape.

That's so darn purty I'd get myself one if I hadn't gone way over on the jewelry budget last year and way over on the travel budget this year! I don't think DH would wear a matching version, though.

Something like this is about as flashy as I'm honestly willing to wear on a daily basis. Only not in yellow gold, because I know you hate yellow gold.

I love them! Dark - I don't think it's too feminine at all and it's blue! I think they're cool. But you think I'm an old harpie so I probably just ruined it for you both. ;D

Or the wood rings, those were cool. Even the plainer ones.

How 'bout these? Those look like sink parts. You might as well go out in the garage and look for rubber seals or washers. Hey - You posted where I can see it so you have to deal with my opinions!

LMAO!!! At how cheap it would be to replace them if Dark screws up again!!
I now need to edit this post: You could have them customized to fit properly. Oh! And you'd be recycling!! ;D

What about hammered silver, loop? That might be something that would satisfy both of you.

I could make us some rings. I think. I can definitely get my hands on some fine silver wire in various guages, and I own a hammer. I just have to beat on it a bit, get it more or less ring shaped, then get a jeweler to size and weld it. Easy peasy.

I'll even bet she won't say "Oops!".
