www.hungrygirl.com has recipe ideas so you can eat more food. She adds a cup or so of vegetables to nearly everything. One cup of cauliflower added to mac/cheese doubles the amount in one serving and elminates desire for two servings at twice the calories. She also has cake recipes that cut up to 250 calories. Most of the fat is cut out. Too busy to look it up? Okay. One choclate cake mix and one can of plain soda. Mix together and bake for the time indicated on the mix. Cupcakes: One chocolate cake mix and one can pumpkin mixed together. (Add red food coloring for wvgirl) Spoon into cupcake pan either lined with a paper cupcake thingy or greased and bake. Make 12. -------- All these good ideas from the girl who ate a bag of candy corn for dinner.

I'm also starting school in the summer, so studying will take up 80% of my weekends. And that's when I'd look to hitting the gym. I guess the universe wants me to be fat. <<grabs pan of brownies>> The school might be a good place to work out, the ones around here have fitness centers that are cheap for students to join. The nice thing about Planet Fitness is no contract, so you could potentially try the $9.99 plan until school started and then get the student rate at the school fitness center.

Kari, only full-time students get the "student rate" - which is nothing (it's included in their tuition). Part-time students and alumni pay the same rate - about $400/year. While I LOVE their facilities, their hours are awful. I really want a gym with pool access, but the school pool is taken up by local swim groups and the school's swim team. Free swim is only for about 3 hours in the middle of the day and times at night where I'm coming home from work. And they have terrible weekend hours, and they are closed during school breaks. And PF is too far from me, I'd never go. I've been whining about wanting a bike for years, so everything is just pointing to me finally buying one. So I'll do that.

And I don't feel like eating junk when I'm hitting the gym regularly. Any luck on locating a gym?

Hey guys, sorry for not updating.
My diet has sucked since Monday really, my cousin passed away on Sunday and I had to go to NJ sunday night and stayed there till Tuesday... haitian cooking/haitin food are not the healthiest. Back to work/hotel on wednesday and have been trying to fix it since then... but been so-so. Also went out with cousins and co-workers and average about 1 beer a night since Sunday night.
As for gym, still trying to locate one. Been calling this gym since Wednesday and their phone is either always busy or no one is answering; seriously annoying. There is also an YMCA in town but not sure their hours are convenient, calling them too tomorrow to find out.
Tonight going to do back/chest and cardio at the Hotel's gym. Stuck here till April 1rst so going to make it count while away from the family drama and food.

Thanks Rob
Ok the other gym I wanted to join is seriously a bust. I been trying to call them since last week to find when would be a good time to go there and join. No answer, none!
So today at 12 pm I go over there and wasted an hour waiting for the guy that could sign me up. Never showed up and never answered the phone.
I left.

Update: - been on top of my diet, so that's good - join a gym today, so better than good (heading there later)
So far it's all good.
My cousin funeral is this Saturday so heading home a day early!

Being a Dr. Oz fan, I need to try all the recommended supplements for weight loss that are within my budget. I tried to get Raspberry Ketone but it is on back order. I did get African Mango. The scale didn't show this but I can feel a slimming in my waist area and shoulders after just two times. I got the powdered form that can be mixed with water and tastes real nice. There are no calories in it.
Something else that came up was a milk allergy. I do have lactos issus but didn't realize milk was in a lot of other foods. This allergy can cause a person to maintain or gain weight even while reducing eating and adequate exercise. A person needs to stop all dairy in all forms and replenish the stomach enzymes with probiotics. Adios whey protein powder.
My college age GrS said he was putting on weight fast which he doesn't need. I will tell him about this as he eats tons of yogurt and cheese.
