I believe that having that much money only creates a boring life, where there isn't anything to strive for, nothing to create and insincere leaching relatives and friends. People like Bill Gates and Warren Buffett have plenty to strive for.

I'll take all the money you people don't want. Thank you in advance.

People like Bill Gates and Warren Buffett have plenty to strive for. For instance? Their next $100 million. Playing "the game". Winning "the game". Chasing the next deal / invention of the century. Because you want more of 'it'. You want a better 'it'. You want the best of 'it'.

But to me, once you get all you need, to want more of it would seem pointless. You need food. You need water. You need clothing. You need shelter. Pretty much anything after that is a want. Who determines how much someone needs? All of them. As have I. I also know some very rich folks that are extremely happy. They flaunt it on occasion, but for the most part, they lead relatively simple lives. I don't presume to know when someone 'has enough' or what makes them 'happy'. It all boils down to individual choice.

I always think having DD off my payroll will make me happy but who knows? I'll be more financially secure at least.

I wouldn't think you could waterski behind any yachts. Can a boat that big move fast enough/turn tightly enough to make it any fun? I think think you can make a solid case for buying a yacht big enough to keep a little jetboat on board.

Can a boat that big move fast enough/turn tightly enough to make it any fun? Yes. Water skiing isn't so much about the tight turns as it is wake jumping. I'd imagine there would be one hell of a wake behind a 140' yacht moving at 70 knots Top 10 Fastest Superyachts in the world1st World is not Enough 42m 70 Knots 2nd Fortuna 41m 65 Knots 3rd Wally Power 118 36m 65 Knots 4th Gentry Eagle 35.6m 63 Knots 5th Alamshar 50m 60 Knots 6th Ermis2 37.2m 57 Knots 7th Nobody 33.5m 55 Knots 8th AA Absolute 36.6m 54 Knots 9th Anthea 27.5m 53 Knots 10th Moon Goddess 35m 53 Knots www.superyachts.com/largest-yachts/fastest-yacht.htm

People like Bill Gates and Warren Buffett have plenty to strive for. I don't think any of these guys worked specifically for money once they had enough, including Steve Jobs. They were blessed with visions and talents and a zest for new challenges. Nothing like a ssnse of accomplishment or something that you love that keeps you going. If you have a lot of money you can donate your time to charity work, which would never be boring. I believe a lot of successful people enjoy giving back as they feel fortunate to have come so far.

I have been unhappy ever since reporters stopped following Palin around. Every time one of her quotes appeared on my home page of my computer, it made my day! Now, all I have is Newt, Mitt, and that other nut whose name I can not remember how to spell. None of those guys are even amusing. Good thing we still have Nancy " Unemployment benefits are creating jobs faster than practically any other program" Pelosi. Don't forget Maxine Waters who calls Republicans demons that are trying to destroy our country. Hmm, she doesn't seem like a happy person to me...

I like this prayer from Proverbs.
"O LORD...give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, ‘Who is the LORD ?’ Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.” Proverbs 30: 7-9, NIV.
