Twin, Google Chrome supports it, but Firefox doesn't. Weird... ;D
saveinla, my DD is ALWAYS singing. She has high hopes and is going to audition for a well-known outdoor theater here in St. Louis. She does really well and doesn't give it a second thought to stand in front of 1,000 people and sing a solo in church. We'll see... the auditions are March 3. ;D

missourimommy,
Good luck on her auditions. Hope she gets in. It's amazing to hear some kids sing and if they are not afraid of the stage then it's all the more reason that they should compete. ;D

missourimommy -- it is possible that Google Chrome does not support the emoticon lists on here; however, doubtful ;D I am so happy and I feel so DH is going to go with my to Financial Peace University with no complaints!! I was so happy, I think this will really lock in the idea why we are sacrificing so much and couponing like lunatics, I think it will be great for us to learn to communicate better too Speaking of couponing, he went with me tonight to do it a little at the commissary...my savings was only 19% with coupons but that doesnt include the 6 2lb packages of HB that were about $6ish/ea, normally over $9/ea...he was funny though cause he kept trying to add things to the cart and I told him if I didn't have a coupon for it, I wasn't buying it (except for the ground beef of course ) twinmama: That's the way to do it!! DH has been bugging me for microwave popcorn. I have found that the cheapest place to get it is at Costco when they offer a coupon for it (usually about once a year). The last time Costco published the coupon, I asked DH how many I should get and he came up short. When he started bugging me, I told him to sit tight cuz Costco would put out a coupon for it very soon. Sure enough, that's exactly what happened. Going without for 3 weeks wasn't THAT big of a deal, was it?

dancin -- thanks!! I did have some coupons for some things he wanted, but even with the MQ it was still really expensive. He wanted instant oatmeal (and I am sure it is even more expensive at stores that are not the commissary) but it was $2.99/box for 10 servings. I picked up a large generic thing of oats and it was $1.41/cylinder with 31 servings...yeah, he shut up right then and there I told him if he wanted the expensive, over priced oatmeal, he could use his own money otherwise eat regular oatmeal that me and the kiddos eat. Besides, the instant oatmeal isn't really that good for you anyway

Add a little applesauce and cinnamon and you've got a really healthy cereal.

Dancinmama: Keep regular popcorn kernals handy. You can put them in a paper bag and microwave them, too. Voila: popcorn! And much healthier than the boxed stuff. Funny story here: DH always buys the kids gag gifts for Christmas. DD2 LOVES popcorn! So, he went to Sam's Club and bought an 80lb bag of popcorn (for @ $8.50!). He bought two huge plastic containers, a couple of scoops, and wrapped it all up. This was 3 Christmas' ago and we still have a bin left. It's Jolly Time popcorn and pops great! If we lived closer, I'd bring you a pound or two! ;D

Kroger shoppers,
How would a 5$/50 Q from Kroger work with the mega - will it be considered before the mega price or after the mega price? I got a 5$/50 Q from Kroger with my rewards and since I have never spent 50$ at Kroger, I am not sure about this. TIA

DANCIN: Swaggrabber also lists the POM in the 12/4, not sure if it's the right size and I don't have my inserts right now, so I can't check, but thought I would put that out there....

I finally got back to CVS. I had gotten a $4/20 coupon from them and couldn't figure out a good deal to use it on. Maybe I am just not trying hard enough but it seems to be getting harder and harder for me to find a good deal to use these coupons on. I ended up buying 2 Hellmans, 3 Ragu,2 boxes Cheez its and 2 Digiorno pizzas. The total before coupons was $22.79. I used a $4 off $20 plus (2) $1 MC's and 1 0.40 cent MC and 1 $2.00 MC plus a $3 ECB for a final total of $11.39. ;D ETA I got a $3 ECB for buying the Hellmans/Ragu.

4/20 CVS scenario (for those lucky enough to get that Q. I only get emails for online deals. As if I've shopped online with CVS before).
6 x Speedstick $11.94 Physicians' formula 10.99 Less BOGOF S/stick (5.97) Less 4/20 (4.00 ) OOP $12.96, get back $6 S/stick + $7 PF EBS. So everything's free.
If you have 6 S/stick Qs, then just buy 12 deodorants. OOP = 7.94, get $12 EBS. Profit of $4.06
The American greeting cards are also a MM with the $2/3 Q.
Frugalsuz also has TMF P/Formula item on her blog.

I just got back from CVS and did the Schick deal and this is how it looked. 6 speed stick at $1.99 = 11.94 Used 3 BOGO MQ (-11.94) Total 0.00 tax 1.07 received 6 ECB for total profit of $4.93 The coupons are automatically taking the maximum value of $3.99 for the first 2 q's and the 3rd has to be adjusted down to $3.96. YMMV but my cashier did not even notice. So if you are planning to use the 4/20 you need to adjust for this if your store allows it. ETA: You might want to double check pricing on the speed stick because ALOT of the ones I picked up were on clearance. I had to scan quite a few to find $1.99 ones.

In my store, the Q beeped for the cashier to enter the price and did not auto deduct the Q value. So it varies based on region. You can also submit the receipt for the Colgate Palmolive rebate if you buy all 6 speedstick in 1 transaction.

Leanna and Constanz: What is the Rite Aid toilet paper comparable to? That's a good price and I was thinking of buying some. Mawmaw: I got your envies out yesterday. It looks pretty decent, better than their regular TP that was free last year. I haven't used it yet, but I just took a package into the bathroom. I'll try it and let you know! I was getting pretty low on TP, was down to like 2 12 pks, so, it was definitely worth doing for me. I use this only as Kleenex and as a cleaning tool. I have TONS and rainchecks for tons more free and can't use it as TP. I'm not picky but I had a reaction to it. Just FYI. Hopefully you all will have better luck. ETA: Ok, if this one is different than last year's then it should be ok.

I have a frustrating yet funny coupon story for you ladies. My DS is at that age where he loves to help. I recently reorganized my coupons because the binder wasn't working for me anymore. I was trying the shoebox with dividers. I guess I left it within his reach because while I was cooking the little stinker got into it. I found him in the middle of the floor surrounded by all my coupons. He was trying to put them back into the box. He saw me and smiled. He held up the coupon in his little fist, said "Coo-on?"and, put the coupon in the box. He then did it again. Yep, need something a bit more toddler proof than the shoebox.
