This quote keeps popping into my head whenever I read the title of this thread: I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed. I Lloyd Dobler.

I've never had okra. I don't mind peas, but DH hates them so I haven't had them in years. I do NOT like cabbage, cooked carrots (except in stews and with pot roast and noodles), or creamed corn. Creamed corn is the worst IMO. BLEGH!!!

Creamed corn is good stuff if you cook it right you bunch of yankees. Okra must be fried or cooked to death in gumbo to be eaten. Otherwise it's just too slimy and nasty.

CL; you know how I hate to disagree with you as a matter of my personal safety, but I think creamed corn was invented as a form of punishment. You are 100% right about the okra though. I can only handle it in gumbo too.

You really know how to hurt a guy. OK: sorry I disagreed with you. I learnt my lesson. I'm so upset now, I'll admit in public that I love canned spinach, and even frozen spinach too.

See what happens when you disagree? I can't do canned but frozen is fine. Of course I have to have it creamed (cream cheese, onions, garlic and a little Parmesan) or I can't stand the bitterness anyway.

I hope I didn't offend anyone. Please bear in mind that any disparaging comments about anything Southern are ALWAYS just me trying to get a rise out of CL. ITBIC, after all.

You, offend us? You've got to be kidding. We've been insulted by real pros.
BTW; you're probably right. If we can catch it, grill it, coat it in BBQ sauce or butter, we'll eat just about anything. I gotta go check the microwave now. I was heating up some left over Possum Parmigiana. BRB. ;D

Oh No, I've got a fry daddy! This keeps getting worser and worser. To think I used to live at the Illinois/Wisconsin border for about 25 years.
