Surprisingly, I have no whines today. It helps that I'm alternating Christmas music with classic Motown hits. Just the thing to get you through a cold, rainy Monday at work. Everybody feel better soon, okay?

I would like for this sinus headache that has wrapped itself around my face and into my jaw to go away!

Here's my whine for the afternoon, there's a roof drain pipe enclosed in a column on the wall right in front of my desk. It's raining and I know it is because I can hear the water trickling down the pipe. Makes me wanna go to the restroom about every 4 minutes.

I have some whines today, so this thread is perfect. My lower back and hips are killing me. Pregnancy pains are kicking in so much earlier this time around. And it's my aunt and uncle's turn to host Christmas Day brunch. No one wants to go to their house. It's not clean and it smells like cat shit. (They have 3 cats and they only empty their litter box about once every 6 weeks. ) They don't have enough seating so everyone is squished in. I have to take another outfit for DD and wash and change her when we leave there because she gets that gross playing on their floors. My mom tried to come up with a good excuse to have brunch at her house this year, but my aunt wouldn't agree. We're all really unhappy. And to top it all off, I can't have any wine to chase away my whines since I'm pregnant.

I wish I could hootie, but then that means we don't see any of our family on Christmas Day. And I want to see my parents and cousins and brothers, etc. We got to DH's parents' house Christmas night. I'll just have to suck it up and look forward to next year when it's back to my parents' house.

kgb: If you must attend, try to get to your aunt & uncle's house just before 'brunch' is supposed to be served. Then shortly afterward, make up some pregnancy-related excuse (like sudden queaziness or indigestion - then make a polite getaway).

This is absolutely disgusting. Your pregnant, tell them to clean it up. You can't be breathing THAT in.

Only 17 more days til they start getting longer again, Suglite. You'll still have to wait a few months for Spring though.

Seriously SL I'm not a winter/darkness all the time person. I find it really depressing. I think I might get one of those SAD lamps this year. I'm alright for Christmas, I've no expectations of control over that. It is, what it is.

Me neither. I'm okay at this time of the year with all the lights, decorations and festivities. But then I get really depressed in January when everything stops and it's just cold and dark for months. One year DH took down the Christmas tree and decorations while I was at work because I cried every time I thought about it.
