have sampled the Halloween candy that they bought for tomorrow? To make sure it's not gone bad, of course.

We had trick or treat at work on Friday so I started sampling then. Hopefully I have enough left for tomorrow night.

I didn't buy any. We had so few kids last year because of it being a school nite, and I don't expect many this year either, also because it's a school night and the weather's going to be a bit nippy. I'm probably going to ignore the door for the few who come around, and watch a movie instead.

Why buy candy when you can shut all the lights off and pretend nobody's home?

LOL, yes I sampled. We had trick or treating tonight from 4-6. I was pretty generous but had an assortment of things to hand out. My favorite pack of little boys from last year, maybe about 5 years old, were back this year. Oh how they make me laugh - it's like being run over by a pack of puppies. However, I determined that Mounds bars are much too sophisticated and really should be consumed by an adult, meaning me... No worries though, as I generally forget I have them so they'll probably last me until Christmas.

I hope "Fire Chicken" comes back this year. He was a little boy who couldn't make up his mind last year and showed up wearing a badge, a fire hat, a fire coat and fire boots over the cutest chicken costume.

I sampled the kinds I like to make sure they weren't stale. The ones DH bought - not so much since I don't like them. I bought Gummies, Mounds and KitKat; he bought a bag of mixed candies and I never even heard of some of them. I'm giving out his candy first tonight, then if we run out, I'll dip into my stash.
Whatever we don't give out will go with me to work tomorrow, since I don't need all that sugar and calories. Of course, I'll keep a few Mounds and KitKat for me!

Time to go buy candy. How many bags do you think I can eat between now and 6 o'clock?

We never get trick-or-treaters, probably because we live on the end of a really long dead end block that has multiple empty lots. It gets real creepy at night. So, no candy at home this year. Normally I have a dish on my desk at work, but I have been sick these past few weeks so the thought of candy....

We gave out full size candy bars. I tell the neighbors kids to come back at 8:05 (ToT is from 6-8). At 8:05 whoever shows up get whatever is left in the candy bowl dumped in their sack.

I could sure use a Twix or Reeses right now though. I have had a horrible sweet tooth lately. Thank God, I don't gain from it though.

We over bought this year. At our old place it was not hard to go through 10+ bags of candy. We didn't know what to expect in our new neighborhood so we bought the same amount. Yeah, it came with me to work today, and will go to the fire station with Mr. Sroo today, and we'll still have some left over! Any chocolate in there? I will take it!

Not guilty.
I do promise to buy large quantities of left over Halloween candy tomorrow at deep discounts.

Because Halloween is a big deal in the town and Halloween is tonight (none of this saturday nonsense for US!) I have bags and bags of candy. And no, I haven't opened it. Because the last time I - err - sampled it, there wasn't enough and they're pretty much sold out by me. So I'll wait until tonight.
