We could never agree on which highway....
A committee will be appointed to investigate and report their findings in six weeks.

Broward Counties tax rate is exactly the same as West Palm, stat and local taxes are .35, mostly the difference in prices that you see between one pump and another has more to do with floating stock than taxes. Floating stock is the amount of gas purchased on a weekly loading basis, if I purchase 1500 gal last week at 3.0 and I do not use that entire stock I still must cover the expense that I paid to bring it in, if the following week I pay 2.93, I can stand to lower my price if my tanks are close to empty, or I must take a loss on what I purchased last week. CME I believe there has to be something else there, I was told Boca itself levies a tax, not county, city..not sure if it's true..but what i was told..the difference is almost 10 cents difference..I will do a google..it was enough that on a fill up, it was quite a bit.. www.miamigasprices.com/Boca_Raton/index.aspxwww.miamigasprices.com/Margate/index.aspxok, there are a few in Boca as cheap, actually one cheaper..but over all the prices in Margate are less as you can see..my station, where I usually would fill up is Cumberland and the BP station just down the road was always more by almost 4/5 cents though as I noticed the other day and still according to the chart, ..both are the same now at 3.75 which is unusual.. over all , not counting the lowest, who knows were it is, the station, the difference on average between the two cities, 7/14 cents more in Boca..just driving by , need gasoline, that is a lot..to me anyway.

Dezi, What you are seeing is natural, yet according to the State of Florida Department of Revenue Boca's tax fuel tax is .35 when including all state county and local taxes in the mix.
I see one station in town who is consistantly .08 cheaper than all others, why, because the owner turns and burns fuel, he never orders more than he sells in a week, fuel is used to entice most people in to the money section (where your gouged on food products) not as a money maker.

a difference of 10 cents per gallon of gas at a fill-up of 25 gallons is $2.50 not really a whole lot of money to be driving a few miles just to save a few pennies.
Think of the excessive wear and tear you place on every part of your car to save a dollar or two.

CME the fact is I didn't live in this town, couldn't afford it actually, well brother did, but still, i worked there, but lived about 20 minutes south of it..and when the few times I forgot and found myself needing fuel, was not going to go all over a town I don't know searching out cheaper gas..the stations on the main drag where all the major retailers are were going to have to do..other wise i made sure i would fuel up in my town, at 10 cents per , that was a big savings,..no life and death but substantial on a product redible available and needed often, ...

We could never agree on which highway.... A committee will be appointed to investigate and report their findings in six weeks. ...maybe the Nottoway Plantation road near New Orleans, or Nottingham Pkwy near Louisville, or we could be really clever and see if Knott's Berry Farm needs a sponsor?

Be like Indiana, they sold some of their toll roads to another country. Now you those roads are going to be well maintained. Stop and think, they were bought for the money they will generate, how are they going to make them maintain them? Texas tried that. Then it was publicized that one of the new big wheels for that company was a former high ranking Texas state official. Of course, he had absolutely no interest in this and there was absolutely no conflict. Needless to say that went by the wayside, I'm actually surprised it didn't happen. The Indiana Toll road was sold to a Spanish consortium. The first thing they did, was raise the toll considerably to help pay for the purchase. It is not well maintained. It is deteriorating. It is also in the Lake Michigan snowbelt, and they were surprised they actually had to plow and salt the roads in the winter. I guess they never looked at the business plan, where maintenance and salting/snow removal was a rather huge line item......now the consortium is in financial trouble due to some other over extended purchases, so maintenance is a sometime next year concern.

Let me assure you many cities add a fuel tax on topof their own sales tax on a gallon of gas. That is why all the liberal Democrats in Cook county, Chicago drive over the state line to Indiana to gas up. They refuse to pay their fair share of maintenance taxes to fix their roads, by buying gasoline in Indiana to save 10 cents a gallon. Let the poor of the city who cannot afford to drive the 20 miles one way pay the high price, is their motto.

That is why all the liberal Democrats in Cook county, Chicago drive over the state line to Indiana to gas up. LMAO! Are you actually suggesting that only liberals use this tactic & republicans are more than happy to pay their fair share? We know how much republicans like paying extra taxes.
