Magic, So you disagree with the Tea Party and most conservatives on some social issues. Does that make them some morons that should be evicted from our country? No that is what America is and what makes it great. I happen to disagree with many on social issues but that doesn't mean they are wrong or certainly not wrong on everything. I happen to think they are right about having a balanced budget. Does that mean we now hate each other?

Like any contract, it can only work if both sides uphold it... ok, one more question: do you ever answer questions? If you can ask one that isn't an obvious attempt at an intellectual fly trap, I might consider it...

B-O-O, H-O-O i defended you when nobody else did, ed. have you forgotten that fact? and if not, what made you so distrusting?
we never agreed on much, ed. but at least we were friendly. And how do you know if I believe in the social contract or not if I didn't answer your question? i said that i would not have a problem with you not believing in the social contract. "with" in this case is the same as "if". i am not presuming that you don't. in fact, based on your previous post, i would assume that you did.

Not sure what you're talking about, but in any case I don't need any defending, especially not here. And let's not forget how you baited me relentlessly on the old boards. Don't think I don't remember...

Don't think I don't remember... it is not what you remember that concerns me. it is what you don't remember.

I think I remember it...

At any rate, several of the mods here have it in for me, so this thread will probably be locked or I will be banned before we finish this discussion. Too bad, I was enjoying it...

Sure they do. It can't possibly have anything to do with your behaviour. You sound like a school kid who blames his failure on the fact that the teacher didn't like him.

PS- i almost said "there is no way you are ed" earlier today, but you post a lot like him.

This is one place I agree with PBP, spending should be capped at a % of GDP.

I think being in that office you going to be so called "disrespecting the office" any how. The president is just one man and human, Bill Clinton show best how a president is just human(weed and bjs). Look at Bush he was just a puppet for the lobbyist(intelligence of a puppet it too). You can stick any one person in that job, but they won't be pull the strings the man behind the curtain with all of the money will be.
As far as the tea party, I would like to say I think when the group first formed it was mainly based on the grass roots support/movement for Ron Paul( I was part of this so I am familiar). I think it is similar to the unions concept it started out with good intentions and then was corrupted. The tea party was defamed by the democrats and infested by the republicans. Just like Reagan for me I supported his conservative ideals until he became president and didn't follow through(but that is like every other president). I think the people are not intelligent enough to put a president into office that won't be a puppet and if one could get in I think he would be killed for it( Just like JFK, you know he was shot because he wanted to abolish the fed reserve).
