They seem to have many of the same policies, the only real difference I see is that President Obama seems to be spending more and has higher poll numbers for some reason. I am not entirely sure how two people can do so many of the same things and have different approval ratings.

How is Obama different than Bush
Bush provided the country the necessary "leadership" after we were attacked on 9/11. Obama has never provided the country any of the necessary "leadership" for our economy or foreign policies..

Obama has a great speaking voice. Bush is a functional illiterate, who trips over two syllable words.

Wasn't it Obama who pronounced" Corpman" as "Corpse Man" and also think we have 58 states? Bush vs Obama... well Bush didn't have a trillion dollar deficit. Also, I'm pretty sure that Bush isn't a Muslim from Kenya.

Obama has a great speaking voice. Bush is a functional illiterate, who trips over two syllable words.True, true....But the same gibberish came out of both. President Obama's gibberish just "sounded" better. (much like a can of fart guard smells just like a real fart). How is Obama different than Bush?President Obama plays more golf, takes more vacations, spends more money, & starts more wars. One way that they are the same though is that both of their fathers fought for their countries. President Bush Sr fought in WWII & I just saw a few days ago that President Obama's father fought for Kenya.

Obama has a great speaking voice. Bush is a functional illiterate, who trips over two syllable words. Bush gave some awesome speeches and he had a great sense of humor. His stumbling over words is no worse than Obama's.

Why are they so much alike in their decisions? Could it well be that both are controlled by the same power brokers? Think about it. The worlds power brokers are neither Republican or Democrat.

The most brilliant people are rarely good public speakers. Not at all calling Bush brilliant, but Obama has about the same skills as my local news reporter that can read well off a teleprompter.
We've all seen the many f*** ups by him when he isn't reading off the script.

Jan Brewer does not speak well in public, and she has done a good job in AZ. Shouldn't we look at what these guys do, and their histories of what they do, rather than pick them because they look and sound good?

Shouldn't we look at what these guys do, and their histories of what they do, rather than pick them because they look and sound good? Let's face it...We are all the same & we will make fun of what we perceive as the other guys weakness. I think President Obama isn't practical. For instance: If he really wanted to turn our economy around he would take vacations here in the states. The amount of money that he spends on vacations & the number of them that he takes would at least turn around the economies of most states & might do it for the country. Of course he just might be taking those vacations for a reason. Maybe he's scouting out the next target to bomb personally.

Booosh is a spoiled dry drunk frat boy who was a total catastrophe in ALL respects. Obama is a policy wonk who wouldn't have allowed 9/11 to happen and has started NO wars, and most of his spending was necessary to avert ANOTHER Pub Great Depression. He has moved to get health and education costs under control (both health and public education costs DOUBLED under Bush!), passed the most important social legislation EVER and financial reform in years. Their policy directions are OPPOSITE- Booosh helping only the rich, Obama the non rich, Booosh's deregulation and putting crony foxes in charge of henhouses leading to financial and environmental disasters. One can see that average conservatives are incredibly misinformed, careless, arrogant, and live in a fantasyland, while megarich elitist pubs are pure greed and/or bought off. tyvm ;D Most regressive, myopic, greedy party in the world since1865... - the sheep are pretty funny- comes in handy when ignoring the suffering of Pub victims- including themselves- bvvvvvvvv!

His stumbling over words is no worse than Obama's. ... Bush spoke from the heart and made it short and to the point. He had the least amount of press conferences than any other President and he wasn't constantly in front of the camera addressing the people with his long and boring "teleprompter" speeches. There was a warmth in Bush that showed his love for America, Obama is cold, robotical and loves the limelight. I do believe the comedian that imitates him is more likeable. K to you vonnie

and most of his spending was necessary to avert ANOTHER Pub Great DepressionThen tell me Warsaw (cause I've been wondering): How exactly did building a WWII monument in the Philippine Islands stimulate OUR economy? That was one of the items in the stimulus package. Now I can see the stimulus for randomly killing people in other countries (you have to make more bombs) but the logic of that one eludes me. Oh & if you explain that one please also tell me the wonderful things about sailing on the Titanic. I'm sure you can but please don't included that the pubs were in the iceberg making business back then. (That would just be too easly. Come up with a different twist this time).

#20- so many Americans believe in voting for the guy they'd like to have a beer with- they get the best smirking liar, a servant of the rich, more disaster here and abroad, and speedier erosion of the middle and working classes.. And on it goes...

Then why did Bernanke admit the spending did NOT create the number of jobs he had said would be produced with all those billions and much of it was wasted or went into the bank accouns of wealthy execs??

Warsaw: I mean really now, getting health care costs under control. What's the cost of ObamaCare, oh around another 800 billion and he pushed it though when all he had to do was tweak what is in place. He went AGAINST the people in this decision. What about the current rise in insurance that everyone is hit with? Please, adding more to the Medicade roles and Food Stamps. Is that helping the poor? No, but jobs would! He's a wonk alright, whatever that is... Obama is the biggest elitist that belongs on the Red Carpet. Concerned about the poor? He hangs only with the rich and takes the rich vacations. Ack, Bush stayed in his home state when he took a vacation.

I am not entirely sure how two people can do so many of the same things and have different approval ratings. i think he is better at articulating his views than Bush was, by far. in politics, that is a huge deal. in addition, i think that he has the right idea of how to fix things. just not the spine or support to carry it out.

#21- You can't see the forest for the twigs, it appears. Bruce Ismay, owner of theWhite Star Line, reminds me of Booosh- a brainless tory heir who caused the collision, then snuk on to a lifeboat to save himself. Sorry about knowing the facts of THAT case too . I'll look up the Phillipine WWII memorial (Rush BS?)- Sounds like a damn good idea to me. Real silly example, trivia for the sheep- spin away! .
