Sure.. they want to eliminate Romney because he is the biggest threat at this time. Like shooting little duckies at a fair.. take them down one at a time. Dems want a weak candidate. Someone Oblama can beat with his wretched record in office. Mitt is not my guy this time around, not like last time, but I will take him in a heartbeat over Obama. I just hope people are smart enough to see what the Dems are doing.. not likely, though. All the more reason for some good ones to hold out until the last minute-- stress the Dems out real bad....

Well, I know who you're ignoring. Me. Thanks, swamp. I'm not ignoring you. LOL! I'm not ignoring you, I"m not paying attention. You have a wife, you know the difference. I do- but I'm not sure she does... ;D

I know of no one who believe in 'from each according to his ability to each according to his need'... NoMoreLunacy posted something about income redistribution, but I'm not sure he takes it that far. This is what I believe in. Tax me as much as you need to, but not 100% of my income, and don't take away my means to earn more. In other words, no wage cap. I can always earn more money. I always have. I think if the top tax rate was, say 50-60%, and the cap on payroll taxes were eliminated (and benefits means tested) the problems in this country would go away a lot. I will do fine under those circumstances, even though I would have to give up some 20-25% incremental income to taxes. I would need to get a 20-25% raise, which would be a couple of years at most. Then it will be steady state again.

I only have 1 person on IGNORE right now. I decided Warsaw doesn't take up that much space, and can be entertaining. You can leave us hanging. Who are you ignoring? Paul and I go back a long away. Some 6-7 years back on Your Money - the original one - I ripped Paul a new orifice when he was trying to denounce evolution. At that time Paul's game plan was to corner the mulch market in Chicago. He used to run a landscaping service, and I was merciless on his rear end. Then he started on the real estate spculation business (at the very tail end of the housing boom, which would be ironic if it were not for Paul, for whom it seemed fitting), and I think I may have made a few jokes at his expense at that time as well. Bottom line, he and I are good friends. He claims to be ignoring me. But I know what is really going on. The other day my 10 year old had a fight with my wife. After that, for one whole day, he wouldn't talk to his mom, and whenever his mom would ask him a question, he would give the answer to me and ask me to tell my wife that he is not listening to her. It was very cute. Paul is like that. Cute.

We've been redistributingwealth for 30 years. It's called Reaganomics Like him, it's demented. 3% of the world, so 1%, misinformed Pub voters, are the only ones who believe half their BS. Individual liberty to be misinformed, divided against their fellow citizens, and screwed over by the greedy rich and corporations- 140 years now...

Dragging things here from other boards, lunatic? That is a no-no. Not that anyone minds that rule. You need to learn to be sneakier, like my trolls...little poison arrows with no name on them is the chosen method of attack..

By the way, I hope you are doing better now. That's why we have social safety nets like Medicaid so that people like you can be supported when they run into hard times. I don't personally mind paying taxes to support that at all.

Kudos to Romney and to Gore. Now if only Romney can get off of the gutMedicare platform and denounces the Ryan budget he will give Obama a real run for his money. What, Obama vs Obama-lite? I wonder if this is just a gambit against the front runner: linking a screaming liberal hypocrite like Gore, who himself contributes more to greenhouse gases than about 100 of us regular folks, is going to hurt Romney's chances without a doubt in the primary and Gore knows this. Nope, this is just Gore campaigining for Obama.

Yep- I noticed a few weeks back when Rush Limbaugh brought up Romney's climate change stance, I noticed the media immediately began a love affair with Romney. You know with polls showing Obama losing to a generic Republican; the thing they fear the most is an obvious well-known conservative.

Reality is, Romney is damn smart - his career shows that. He is also a moderate Republican (otherwise he wouldn't have won in MA). Hence, he is the best candidate that the Republicans have. But the Republicans today are split into three camps. The first group are the social conservatives. They have no chance - ever - to win a broad election in the USA. The second group are the tax cutters. Again, same story as social Republicans - no chance whatsoever of winning a broad election in the USA. Romney belongs to the third school, moderate Republicans, what the Republican Party used to be before Reagan. But he still needs at least one other faction to join him, so he is pandering to the tax cutters (even though his record indicates that he has absolutely no desire to follow through - he is after all an old Bain consultant who knows how tax cuts would be ruinous at this stage). But he has not been able to totally get a lobotomy and get in bed with the social conservatives. It's hard. You have to be completely illogical and indoctrinated to do that - and Romney has a fine brain indeed.
